Giro d'Italia 2025 General Classification Odds
As the 108th Giro d’Italia prepares to roll out from Albania, we take a closer look at the three standout favourites in the General Classification market, and highlight some smart betting angles across the board.
Primoz Roglic: 6/4
It’s no surprise to see Primoz Roglic head the General Classification betting at 6/4 with CopyBet, who are offering £60 in free bets to new customers.
The 2023 winner returns looking to reclaim the Maglia Rosa, armed with Grand Tour-winning pedigree, experience, and the kind of late-stage ruthlessness that saw him famously snatch victory from Geraint Thomas in the penultimate stage two years ago.
The Red Bull–BORA–Hansgrohe leader has now claimed five Grand Tour wins in the last six seasons, including his fourth Vuelta a España title last year.
Crucially, he’ll be supported by 2022 Giro winner Jai Hindley (50/1) and 2023 runner-up Dani Martínez (40/1), both of whom are more than capable of stepping up if needed. Hindley, in particular, offers top-3 value at 12/1, should Roglic falter.
Juan Ayuso: 2/1
The biggest threat to Roglic is likely to come from rising Spanish star Juan Ayuso. At just 22 years old, the UAE Team Emirates–XRG rider already has a Grand Tour podium to his name, having finished 3rd in his Vuelta debut in 2022 - the second youngest ever to finish in the top-3 of a Grand Tour.
With last year's runaway winner Tadej Pogacar not competing, his UAE disciple Ayuso is priced at 2/1 to go all the way and claim his first Grand Tour title.
He has shown some cracking form in 2025 with wins at the Tirreno–Adriatico, La Drôme Classic, and Trofeo Laigueglia, so watch this space.
Adam Yates: 7/1
Should Ayuso slip up, the door could open for teammate Adam Yates. Tasked with a super-domestique role, Yates brings a wealth of experience, having helped Pogačar reclaim the Tour de France title last season.
Yates has seven Grand Tour top-10 finishes, but only one podium. He’ll be hoping to add to that here, with BetMGM offering 5/2 for a top-3 finish and Paddy Power pricing him at 8/11 for yet another top-10.
At 7/1 outright, he’s well worth contemplating.
Giro d'Italia 2025 Route
