Giro d'Italia 2023 Odds
Last year’s Vuelta a España victor, Remco Evenepoel, was installed as the narrow bookmakers' favourite to win his second successive major race.
Despite a bright start to the Giro, which included two stage wins and first position overall, Evenepoel was unfortunately forced to withdraw following stage 9 after he tested positive for Covid-19.
As a result it's Primoz Roglic, a three-time Vuelta a España winner who has finished runner-up in the Tour de France and third in his last appearance at the Giro in 2019, became the betting frontrunner for the pink jersey.
However, former Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas is the man now leading the race and the betting market as the Giro reaches an exciting conclusion.
Joao Almeida will also be one to keep an eye on in the final stretch.
