Yes, it is. They rank well in terms of having few customer complaints and haven’t caught the eye of the UK Gambling Commission over the past few years on many occasions for the wrong reasons, so you’re in good, safe hands here.

Good news: they do have a team of agents available 24/7 to deal with your queries. They also have a decent FAQs section where many of your questions may be answered that way. 

Bad news: though they’re available via e-mail during those hours they may take a while to respond, while we suspect the Live Chat is a ‘bot’ rather than a human, which isn’t ideal. They also lack a phone line, so that’s off the table. In other words, there’s work to be done when it comes to their Customer Service offering.

Our Experience Using Winissimo

For the most part, I’m quite black or white about Sportsbooks that I have to review but in the case of Winnissimo, I’m somewhat sitting on the fence at the moment.

I like that they cover all manner of slightly more obscure sports because a few of those (chess, surfing) are among my favourites, while as a Bet Builder fan, I was pleased to see they offer them for the likes of tennis, as well as the more obvious sport of football. 

I have no complaints about the range of betting markets, the choice of payment options, and I like other features like their Live Events calendar, that are useful for someone who likes to know what competitions are coming up just around the corner. And after a couple of bad runs on the likes of cricket and Formula One, it was nice to get 10% cashback on my losses there; better than nothing! 

But they can improve in a few areas. Most betting sites offer live streaming these days as a way of enhancing the live betting experience, so I was disappointed that they don’t offer any streaming at all. The Welcome Offer is ok, but quite frankly, most customers expect a bit more bang for their buck these days than what they’re offering here, as a reward for signing up. 

As it happens, I’m not too fussed about the absence of a mobile app, as I tried the mobile browser and it works just fine. But I’m not a fan of fees charged on withdrawals, and though 1% isn’t bank-breaking, it’s still a bit unnecessary. Quite why they don’t offer a phone line directly to Customer Service or use human agents rather than ‘bots’ for Live Chat is for them to know, but I wish they would! 

So this is a Sportsbook I mostly really like, but who could make a few tweaks, none of them too costly, to get to the next level. I’ll be monitoring them carefully over the next few months to see if they do.
