These are free bets, but it is worth remembering that it is possible to incur losses that exceed the initial stake with Spread betting. One final point, free bets expire in 28 days if unused.
Now that is all out of the way, we’ve covered a few ways new Spreadex customers can make the most of their Free Bets in May.
Selection | Stake | Odds and Returns |
---|---|---|
Coventry to win vs Middlesbrough | Initial £10 Stake | 11/10 returns £21 and unlocks £60 free bets |
Valencia to win at Las Palmas | £10 Free fixed odds bet 1 | 17/10 returns £17 |
Chelsea to win vs Liverpool | £10 Free fixed odds bet 2 | 21/20 returns £10.50 |
Nottingham Forest to win at Crystal Palace | £10 Free fixed odds bet 3 | 2/1 returns £20 |
Initial £10 Stake
The final round of Championship games takes place on May 3 and Coventry know a win at home to Middlesbrough will secure a play-off spot. City have won eight of their last 10 home games and their only defeats in that period have come against the division’s top two.
Boro could also gatecrash the top six with a win if results elsewhere go their way, but they are in poor form with just one win in their last five (D1, L3).
£10 Free fixed odds bet 1
We’ll focus on the fixed odds bets rather than the Total Goals spreads, as those markets are fluid and yet to open for the weekend games so any advice dished out now may be worthless by the weekend.
The first free bet will be available on Saturday and in a 5.30pm La Liga game Valencia can win at Las Palmas. Los Che are in form and are unbeaten in eight, while the relegation-threatened hosts have won just one of their last seven at home (D2, L4).
£10 Free fixed odds bet 2
The second free bet will be available on Sunday and the standout Premier League game of the day, Chelsea vs Liverpool, looks a good option for our £10 stake.
Liverpool wrapped up the title last weekend and have nothing left to play for, whereas Chelsea are desperate to finish in the top five.
The Blues have won six of their last seven Premier League games at Stamford Bridge and can make home advantage count.
£10 Free fixed odds bet 3
Our final free fixed odds best will be available on Monday and 2/1 underdogs Nottingham Forest look worth backing at Crystal Palace.
The Eagles will be focusing on their FA Cup final date and have little left to fight for in the league.
Like Chelsea, Forest are fighting for a Champions League spot and they are the team in far greater need here so at 2/1 they have real appeal ahead of this clash on Monday.

What Betting Markets are Available at Spreadex?
Spreadex have a wide range of unique betting markets across 20 different sports. Below are some of my favourite betting markets that can be found at Spreadex:
Horse Racing Lengthen the Odds
With Spreadex you can increase your odds on a horse race by betting on how many lengths you think a horse will win by. This can be good for when you are confident a certain horse will win a race and would like to try and get better odds for it. For example, a horse might be 1/1 to win a race but 9/4 to win the race by 3+ lengths.
Football First Team to Score
Rather than just betting on which team will win the football game, you can place a bet on which team you think will score first. This type of bet brings an extra layer of excitement to the game, as the anticipation builds right from kickoff. You’ll be on the edge of your seat, waiting to see who scores that golden first goal.
Rugby Race to Points
Just like the "first team to score" betting market in football, Spreadex also lets you bet on which team will be the first to reach a certain number of points in a rugby game. This bet adds an exciting twist to watching rugby as you cheer on your chosen team to hit that points target before the other side. It’s a fun way to stay engaged in the game and see if your prediction comes through!
Spreadex Quality of Odds
While Spreadex offer competitive and quality odds to it’s users, in general, the odds offered a slightly worse than other betting sites. For this review, I decided to compare Spreadex’s odds to that of its competitors. I used the upcoming Chelsea vs Arsenal game and looked at match odds, goalscorer odds and player to be booked odds.
For the match odds, Spreadex matched the competitors I also looked at on Chelsea to win at 9/5, matched or beat them on the odds for a draw at 12/5 and had slightly worse odds on Arsenal to win at odds of 7/5 compared to one competitor who offered 29/20.
In the goalscorer market, there odds of 8/5 for Cole Palmer to score were overall worse than their competitors who offered a price of 15/8. They also offered a worse price of 15/8 for Bukayo Saka to score with one competitor offering 5/2. Regardless the odds were still relatively competitive despite being slightly worse.
In the player to be booked market they also came off as worse than competitors, Spreadex offered odds of 29/20 for Moises Caicedo to be booked while some betting sites were offering a price of 2/1. They also offered very short odds of 6/4 for Gabriel Jesus to be carded with most other bookies offering odds of 21/10.
