About our Premier League stats

Our stats are powered in partnership with Perform (aka Opta) and update in real-time during matches. You can research specific players for all 20 Premier League teams, including a breakdown of their performance game-by-game. Whilst the tool is currently set up to show a player's number of appearances, minutes, goals, shots, shots on target, assists, fouls, fouls drawn, tackles and red and yellow cards, we have a huge amount of player related data we will be introducing to our Premier League tool so keep in touch with developments by opting in to receive emails below.

Premier League Stats Leaders

We detail the Premier League leaders for metrics such as appearances, minutes, goals, shots, shots on target, assists, fouls, fouls drawn, tackles and red and yellow cards.

Team Stats

Our Premier League team stats engine allows you to see the following for all 20 Premier League teams:

  • Goals
    • How many goals has the team scored.
  • Shots
    • How many shots does a team have per game and in total will help you make an informed decision when betting on team shots.
  • Shots on target
    • How many of those shots were on target, bookmakers offer betting on team shots on target for Premier League matches.
  • Cards
    • How many cards has the team collected per game and in total, this can inform you whether a team is likely to get more or less cards.
  • Possession
    • How much possession has the team had on average per match in the Premier League. Whether the team dominates possession or doesn't this can inform a whole number of betting markets.
  • Form
    • Simple recent form can inform you how well the team is playing when coming to bet on them to win, lose or draw a match.
  • BTTS
    • Both teams to score is a popular betting market, check the Premier League teams average for BTTS in their games over a season.
  • Over/Under 2.5
    • Over/Under 2.5 goals is another popular betting market and you will be able to see what the Premier League teams average per game and bet accordingly.
  • Booking points
    • How many booking points do a Premier League team average per match? Booking points are calculated 10pts for a yellow card shown and 25pts for a red (with Paddy Power), check the average to see which teams are above and below the lines offered by the bookmakers.

Ref Stats

Also we have our Premier League referee stats tool which allows you to check the total and game by game stats for the Premier League referees, including the following data:

  • Appearances
    • How many matches has the referee officiated in the Premier League, depending on the sample size this can help you make an informed decision on the referees averages when it comes to specific bet types.
  • Fouls given
    • How many fouls do the referees give in a game? Are some refs more whistle happy than others and can you factor that in to bet types like cards shown and booking points.
  • Fouls per card
    • How many fouls does it take the referees on average to give before dishing out a card? Fouls per card is a good metric to get a feel for that Premier League ref when betting on players to be shown a card and booking points.
  • Yellow cards given
    • Check the total yellows and average cards given by referees with a breakdown game by game. By looking at the Premier League referees average cards per game stats it can inform you how many bookings could be made in a match.
  • Red cards given
    • Does a Premier League average more red cards than other referees and how can this inform your betting?
  • Cards per game
    • Probably the most popular metric when checking referees stats in relation to betting on players to be shown a card in the Premier League or booking points.
  • Penalties awarded
    • Are there any referees who award more penalties than others and can that impact betting on players to be carded or goalscorer bets for Premier League players who take penalties for their club?
  • Average booking points per game
    • Bookings points is a popular bet type with the bookmaker usually applying a line (e.g. over/under/exact) on the amount of booking points shown in a match. This metric will be displayed as an average and the user will be able to instantly see what the referee averages in booking points per game in the Premier League.

How can the Premier League Stats tool help you with your betting?

All of the bookmakers we promote on BettingOdds.com offer player prop bets which are closely aligned to the stats. Whereas betting on a player to score the first goal or anytime has been a popular bet for years, in recent years there's been a growth in the following bet types. We've cherry picked the most relevant stats to help you make an informed decision on backing a player based on their form:

  • Player to be carded
    • Our preferred partners on the site offer player to be carded betting, the Premier League stats tool pulls Opta's data to show you the players key metrics for when betting on cards/bookings, such as how many tackles they make, how many fouls a player makes per game and how many cards (yellow/red) they have accrued through the Premier League season.
  • Player shots on target (1+, 2+, 3+ etc.)
    • Bookmakers offer player shots on target, a hugely popular betting market and one where looking at the Premier League stats can really help you make an informed decision about your bet.
  • Players to have a shot
    • Players to have a shot are shorter priced than shots on target betting but they're more likely to happen. We break down both shots and shots on target for every player in the Premier League, total and per game plus a game by game breakdown so you can see how a player has performed in a particular fixture.
  • Player passes
    • An emerging market with the bookmakers but another stats-based bet which is becoming more popular. The bookie will provide a line (e.g. Paul Pogba to have 50+ passes) and you can check our stats to see what the players average in Premier League matches.
  • Player assists
    • Assists have become such an important metric in channels such as fantasy football, but the bookmakers are also now offering markets for anytime assists and our Premier League stats tool will show you the total, average and game by game assist detail to help you with your bet decisions.
  • Player tackles
    • Like passes, betting on player tackles is becoming more and more popular with punters and this metric will not only help you when betting on tackles but also for card betting.

Which bookmakers offer Premier League player Bet Builder bets?

We actively promote the following bookmakers who are trusted operators in the UK and specifically offer a good quality product around player prop bets which our tool can help make you an informed decision when placing a bet:

  • Bet365 - Bet Builder
    • Bet365 offers one of the most extensive products in the industry, giving punters a range of markets that they can include in their Bet Builder selections. Consistently well priced, 365 also offers the biggest range of player props that can be combined in the Premier League, with shots, passes, tackles and assists all available for certain top-flight matches. Another benefit of using bet365 for your Bet Builders is that numerous selections for one match can be combined over multiple matches unlike most other bookmakers.
  • Paddy Power - Bet Builder
    • Paddy Power has one of the most popular Bet Builder products in the market. The Irish firm gives punters the opportunity to choose any player featuring in the match when it comes to shots and shots on target markets. Player assists can also be included using the Bet Builder which is one of the most user friendly options available.
  • Betfair - Bet Builder
    • Very similar to Paddy Power, Betfair also offers a brilliant Bet Builder product but targets the slightly more shrewd punter. The best priced firm out there in our opinion, Betfair also offers a small bonus included in the quoted odds when you combine numerous selections. Unlike other firms, Betfair are also starting to branch out into other leagues apart from the Premier League when offering the player props that can be included in the Bet Builder, with it now being common for shots on target markets to be available for significant game across the continent and for televised Championship games as well as the Premier League.
  • William Hill - #BuildYourOdds
    • William Hill’s #BuildYourOdds feature is very similar to the Bet Builder from most other firms with the ability to add in player shots on target and player assists, the latest feature to be released by one of the most historic names in British bookmaking. As with all of the firms above, Hills also allow punters to include markets such as anytime goal scorers, both teams to score and match handicaps to with their #BuildYourOdds feature.
  • Betfred - #PickYourPunt
    • Betfred's #PickYourPunt allows you the user to create and customise your own unique bets. It works differently to a Bet Builder in that the selections have already been built and you have to either choose a bet you like the look of or tweet @Betfred with #PickYourOwnPunt and see if their traders will add it. Betfred's service includes Europe's top divisions and internationals and they list the matches they cover in advance on their website.
  • Bet Victor - Bet Builder
    • Bet Victor's Bet Builder is available on a large amount of football fixtures everyday. You can select from markets such as Match Result, Both Teams to score, Goals, Method of Goal, Cards and Corners for both players and teams.
