• Tournament Winner – Select which player you think will finish top of the scoreboard. If they succeed, so will your bet.
• Place – Want to back a golfer but not convinced they’ll take first place? You can also bet on them to ‘place’, or finish within a certain position. Winning place bets are paid as a fraction of the win odds. How many places are paid depends on the bookmaker and tournament. Top 5, top 10, and top 20 are all common options. You can also bet on a golfer to miss a placement at some bookies, for example to finish below the top 5.
• Each-Way – Just as in horse racing, you can combine win and place bets into an each-way. That means you’ll land a return if your chosen golfer places, and an even bigger payout if they finish at the top.
• First Round Leader – Sometimes called FRL, this is a bet on the player you think will lead at the end of a tournament’s first round. As it’s much easier to go low in a single round compared to an entire tournament, some players like to make FRL bets on underdogs for a chance at a bigger payout.
• Top Nationality – This is a bet on the nationality of the player you think will win the tournament. While Europe and the US have produced many of the world’s greatest golfers, the global popularity of the sport means the field is wide open.
• Match Bets – Also known as matchup bets or head-to-heads, these wagers pit two players against each other. Successfully predict which golfer will finish ahead of the other and your bet will succeed. 
• Player Specials – These markets are more unique, where you’re wagering on a specific golfer to achieve a certain outcome. Examples include ‘Collin Morikawa to make the cut in every 2023 major’ or ‘Charlie Woods to win a golf major before his 30th birthday’.
