The winner of Group B, which we now know is Spain, will take on the side who finishes third in one of Groups A, D, E or F, but Croatia look likely to encounter a more arduous potential route to the final should the progress to the knockout stages.

The runner-up in Group B will face their Group A counterpart, which is expected to be one of Scotland, Hungary or Switzerland, while the side that finishes third will meet either the winner of Group E or Group F.

Croatia Euro 2024 Head Coach

Zlatko Dalic has been his country's national team coach since 2017, leading them to the 2018 World Cup final and the bronze medal in Qatar in 2022. 

He was less successful in his only previous Euros campaign, losing 5-3 to Spain after extra-time in an all-time classic last-16 tie.

The 57-year-old signed a new contract that will keep him in situ until the 2026 World Cup last year and his calm yet frank approach has made him popular among players and fans.
