Italy to win Euro 2024 odds

A lot has changed, but much has remained the same for defending champions Italy since their Euro 2020 success story three summers ago.

Gli Azzurri's record 37-game unbeaten run was halted in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League later that year and defeat to North Macedonia in a play-off meant they failed to qualify for a second consecutive World Cup.

But former Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti steadied the ship after Roberto Mancini's resignation midway through Euro 2024 qualifying and, as three-time finalists in this tournament since 2000 and semi-finalists the last time it was played in Germany, no one will be in a rush to rule them out.

After navigating their way out of Group B, Italy have been handed odds of 20/1 to win Euro 2024.

Spalletti's squad lacks the world-class talents of years gone by and the experienced defensive stars that helped Mancini's team seal victory at Wembley are also largely gone with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma the only remaining squad member with more than 60 caps.

Italy finished Group B meaning they now go head-to-head against Switzerland for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Italy's path to the final could see them come up against England in the quarter-finals if Gareth Southgate's side win Group C and overcome Slovakia last-16. Despite losing both Euro 2024 qualifying games to the Three Lions, past Euro finals history and the spectre of penalties could help Italy edge into a possible semi-final against France.
