Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich betting tips
First up I quite like the look of Leon Goretzka in the shots on target department. The midfielder is currently averaging 0.7 per game in the Bundesliga and has attempted 27 shots in 11 games. With Bayern being so favoured in this matchup you'd expect them to have the majority of possession and I think their midfield might fancy their chances when the opportunity presents itself.
Of all midfielders in the Bayern squad, Goretzka is the one that is shooting the most on average with 2.5 shots per game, the next best in that central position is Musiala with 1.2 per game. It's clear to see that Goretzka fancies himself and if he brings his shooting boots to this game, 11/10 looks like a great price for just the one shot on target.
Only Harry Kane and Leroy Sane are shooting more frequently than the 28-year-old and he is even outperforming players like Choupo-Moting, Gnabry, and Coman when it comes to his shot averages.
Next up we’re siding with Harry Kane to score a header. The striker is in outstanding form this season with 20 goals in 14 games in the Bundesliga. He is as short as 4/9 to score anytime against Wolfsburg and I think we’ve found some value in him to score a header at 7/2.
Bayern Munich come into this game as 3/10 faovurites and it’s fair to expect them to score around three or four goals here. Wolfsburg have lost three of their last four games and you’ll have to go all the way back to 2015 to find the last time Wolfsburg beat Bayern. Their most recent meeting ended up 4-0 and if they are to score that many here, you’d have to fancy Kane to get two or three.
Five of his goals have been headers in the league this season meaning 25% of his goals in the Bundesliga have been using his head. Considering the short price for him to score I think there’s some good value in this bet.
