Valspar Championship Prediction and Betting Tips: Best three bets at Copperhead Course

Scottie Scheffler is taking a well-earned break after claiming his second successive tournament win at The Players last week, but there is still a strong field assembled for the final tournament of the PGA Tour’s Florida Swing: the Valspar Championship.
A demanding test awaits at the Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Resort just outside Tampa, where Taylor Moore claimed a one-shot success last year, and Xander Schauffele heads the betting after he finished second at Sawgrass last week.

Valspar Championship Tips
While Schauffele’s performance last week has been enough to earn him favouritism for this tournament, the player who makes the most appeal is two-time winner Sam Burns (12/1), despite a couple of indifferent performances at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players.
Bigger things were expected after those two outings as Burns had got his year off to a strong start - he was sixth at the American Express, tenth at Pebble Beach, third at Phoenix and tenth at the Genesis.
It seemed that another success was not far away and this is a location he loves - he has Copperhead form figures of 12-30-1-1-6 - so it is an ideal opportunity for him to get back on track.
Copperhead provides an examination where strong tee-to-green play and the ability to find greens in regulation are often rewarded, so it would be foolish to ignore Keith Mitchell’s (50/1) claims this week. He will have been disappointed to have slipped to 73rd at Sawgrass after a pair of 76s over the weekend, but he went into that tournament in solid form so it is not difficult to strike a line through his Players performance.
Mitchell was 17th at the Phoenix Open, 19th at the Mexico Open, and ninth at the Cognizant Classic before last week’s effort and, as this is not one of the PGA Tour’s designated events and many of the big guns are sitting out, this is a chance for him to make a big impression in not the strongest of fields.
While Mitchell will wish to forget about his Sawgrass weekend in a hurry, Maverick McNealy’s (66/1) spirits will have undoubtedly been lifted by his ninth spot in such illustrious company.
His ninth spot has taken him back into the world’s top 100 and will not have come as a complete surprise as he was 13th at the Mexico Open and sixth in Phoenix so he headed to Florida in decent form.
He could also have learned a lot from his first trip to Valspar last year when he carded an opening 67 before finishing 36th and there is a strong chance he could make a much bigger impression this time.
