Next Crystal Palace Manager Odds: Early contenders to replace Patrick Vieira

Crystal Palace have sacked Patrick Vieira with just 11 matches remaining this season.
The decision comes after Palace’s mid-week 1-0 defeat to rivals Brighton which extended the club’s winless run to 12 matches in all competitions in 2023.
Wednesday’s loss was their third on the spin and left the faltering Eagles three points above the relegation zone.
“It is with enormous regret that this difficult decision has been made. Ultimately, results in recent months have placed us in a precarious league position and we felt a change is necessary to give us the best chance of retaining Premier League status,” Chairman Steve Parish said in a statement on Friday morning.
Vieira's exit is this season's tenth managerial departure, equalling the records from the 2013/14 and 2017/18 seasons.
Who could Palace turn to next? We’ve taken a look at the early candidates in the next Crystal Palace manager odds.
Managers with Premier League experience that can currently be found in the Job Centre, include Rafa Benitez, Marcelo Bielsa, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, and Jesse Marsch; all of whom have been sacked within the last 14 months.
Scott Parker is also back on the market, although his 67-day stint at Club Brugge hardly inspires confidence.
Former Spurs and Wolves boss Nuno Santo may well attract attention. He has Al-Ittihad leading the way in the Saudi Professional League but could the lure of the Premier League see him return to these shores?
It's difficult to see Palace enticing any of the Championship's promotion candidates away at this stage of the season, such as the brilliant duo of Vincent Kompany or Michael Carrick, while Celtic's Ange Postecoglou is currently gunning for a domestic treble north of the border.
Bookmakers have also priced up the return of former Eagles managers Roy Hodgson, Sam Allardyce, and Alan Pardew.
Former England boss Hodgson, who oversaw Palace between 2017 and 2021, has managed 17 different clubs during a 46-year managerial career.
He surprisingly returned to the dugout last January on a short-term deal with Watford but was unable to keep the club in the Premier League. Could he now return to Selhurst Park for the final 11 games?
Another manager worth contemplating is Lucien Favre, who was hotly linked back in the summer of 2021. The Swiss boss eventually returned to Nice a year later, but was sacked in January.
Will Still remarkably remains unbeaten in 17 Ligue 1 games (9 wins and 8 draws) since taking over at Reims in October. If you're after a left-field shout then he's priced out at 50/1.
Meanwhile, U21s boss Paddy McCarthy is expected to oversee the first team against Arsenal and could even emerge as a potential option until the end of the season, similar to what Southampton did with Ruben Selles when Nathan Jones departed.
