Next Tottenham Manager Odds: Early contenders to replace Thomas Frank
Tottenham are looking for their third manager in less than a year after the club sacked Thomas Frank following a 2-1 defeat at home to Newcastle.
Frank, who only replaced Ange Postecoglou in the summer, was already on borrowed time, but Tuesday's defeat extended Spurs' winless league run to eight games and left them just five points above the relegation zone.
The club have subsequently decided to act, with attention instantly turning to who could replace Frank in the next Tottenham manager odds.
Next Tottenham Manager Odds
John Heitinga: 4/5
John Heitinga has emerged as the early favourite with many bookmakers.
The former Ajax boss became Frank's assistant manager only a few weeks ago and could now be well-placed to step up to the full-time job.
The Dutchman, who lasted just 15 games in charge of Ajax, was previously part of Arne Slot's title-winning coaching staff at Liverpool.
Roberto De Zerbi: 11/10
Roberto De Zerbi had already been linked with Tottenham before today’s dramatic developments, which saw the passionate Italian tactician depart Marseille and Frank leave Spurs within the space of just a few hours.
Well known in the Premier League for his impressive spell at Brighton, De Zerbi guided the Seagulls to a 6th-place finish and secured a historic European qualification.
After leaving Brighton, he took charge of Marseille, having previously managed Shakhtar Donetsk and Sassuolo, and led the French side to a 2nd-place finish in Ligue 1 last season.
Mauricio Pochettino: 5/1
Many Tottenham fans still pine for the return of Mauricio Pochettino, who spent five memorable years in charge during which he guided the club to a Champions League final.
The main obstacle here is that Pochettino is currently head coach of the United States national team, who are preparing for the 2026 World Cup on home soil.
So, any potential return to north London would therefore likely have to wait until after the tournament concludes.
Xavi Hernandez: 10/1
Xavi Hernandez represents an intriguing name in the betting.
The Spanish icon has surprisingly remained out-of-work since he left Barcelona in 2024 after two years in charge, where he won La Liga in his first season.
Prior to that spell, Xavi managed Qatari club Al Sadd where he won the league and three cups.
Oliver Glasner: 16/1
Could Tottenham once again look to an in-work Premier League manager? It may not have worked with Frank, but Oliver Glasner could be on their radar.
The Austrian famously led Crystal Palace to a first-ever FA Cup triumph last season and then went on to win the Community Shield. Palace have since lost multiple top players, leading to the recent announcement that Glasner will leave his post in the summer.
Other Contenders
Ryan Mason, 8/1, has previously filled in as caretaker on a couple of occasions and could be a short-term option having recently left West Brom.
Another former Spurs player, Robbie Keane, is also available at 8/1. The Irishman is currently in charge of Hungarian side Ferencváros and previously oversaw Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Former Man United boss Ruben Amorim and ex-Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca are both around the 20/1 mark in the betting.
