New Zealand vs. Ireland Odds: Another win for the All Blacks on the cards on Saturday

It’s another early start on Saturday morning for Irish fans, as their team has another crack at history, aiming to beat New Zealand for the first time on their own patch. The opening fixture last weekend saw the All Blacks canter to a 42-19 win, with three tries in eight minutes just before half-time enough to see the hosts take full control of the game, and series.
New Zealand vs Ireland Tips
After a previously positive Covid-19 test, Mack Hansen returns to the back line as the 14, with Johnny Sexton completing head injury assessments to take his usual place at fly-half. The experience of Ringrose and Henshaw partner up again in the centre, with Rob Herring and Finlay Bealham doing enough to be named amongst the replacements.
Likewise, the All Blacks have made one change to their starting XV, with Dalton Papalii coming into the back row of the pack, after Sam Whitelock was ruled out with delayed onset concussion. As ever, we’ve previewed the big encounter in Dunedin, and put together two tips for you to cast your eye over.
It’s fair to say that the first Test didn’t go as hoped for Irish fans, but went the way that many were expecting. The Boys in Green held out for a little over 20 minutes, before the hosts upped the gears at Eden Park.
At half-time the game was already all but over, with New Zealand leading 28-5, and I’m afraid to say that I can’t see anything but an All Blacks lead in Dunedin tomorrow. We’ve opted for Bet365’s more specific half-time winning margin, giving us a bigger price at 15/2 for the home side to be up by 13-15 points.
New Zealand have won a whopping 40 of their 46 matches in Dunedin, losing just five times in that period. It’s going to take a herculean Irish effort to prevent anything other than the All Blacks clinching the series, and that’s reflected in our first shout.
Next up, we’re looking to one of the three Barrett brothers to inflict damage yet again here.
Jordie Barrett was the first to cross the line for New Zealand last weekend, and we’re expecting more of the same on Saturday morning. Barrett has been in great form for his nation in recent times, scoring four tries in Tests over the last 12 months.
With the hosts at such a short price, we’ve had to dig a little deeper to find some good value, and the 12/1 for the full-back to cross more than once definitely caught our eye. With the sold-out Dunedin crowd roaring their heroes on, expect a similar result to the first Test, and Barrett will definitely have a part to play in that.
As ever, good luck if you’re following any of these picks, enjoy the game, and please remember to gamble responsibly.
