Ireland vs France Prediction, Lineups and Odds: 6/1 fancy for huge Six Nations clash

The two heavyweights of this year's Six Nations go head-to-head on Saturday (14:15, ITV1) as Ireland host France in a mouthwatering encounter at the Aviva Stadium.
Ireland vs France Predictions
Ireland have had the sign over France over the last couple of years, securing a couple of comprehensive victories over Fabien Galthie’s side.
Winning 32-19 over the French in Dublin in 2023, Ireland went on to earn an impressive 38-17 win over Les Bleus at the Stade de France last year.
France have already shown themselves to be vulnerable on the road in this Six Nations, having squandered a number of tryscoring opportunities to lose 26-25 to England at Allianz Stadium.
Ireland have a world-class pack that will be able to handle the muscle of the French forwards and get stronger as the game continues.
There won’t be much in it, but Ireland are good value to edge this one by three points or more at the Aviva Stadium.

While Irish fans should be the ones smiling come the full-time whistle, this is a game in which France could be the ones leading the scoreline at the break.
The French will chuck the kitchen sink at Ireland in the opening exchanges in a bid to get some momentum and attempt to quieten the passionate home crowd.
Ireland have been known to make slow starts in this Six Nations, as they trailed England in Dublin at the break in Round One, while they were also behind against the Welsh in Cardiff at half-time in Round Three.
The Irish have the quality and fitness to finish strongly on Saturday and, with that in mind, there’s great value to be had with France to be leading at the break but Ireland to claim the victory at the final whistle.
Ireland vs France Lineups
Ireland
Ireland have been handed a major boost with the new skipper Caelan Doris having recovered from a knee injury in time to lead the Irish out on Saturday.
Doris had been a doubt after missing the Wales game in Cardiff but comes back into a back row that includes Peter O’Mahony and Josh Van der Flier.
This will be the final home game for O’Mahony and substitutes Cian Healy and Conor Murray after the trio confirmed they will be retiring after this Six Nations.
Dan Sheehan starts at hooker, with Ronan Kelleher out with a neck injury, while Rob Herring will line up on the bench.
Garry Ringrose is suspended after his red card against Wales, so Bundee Aki partners Robbie Henshaw in the centres, while Jamie Osborne replaces the injured Mack Hansen on the wing.
France
As for France, fly-half Romain Ntamack has returned from his suspension to partner Toulouse team-mate Antoine Dupont in the half-backs.
Winger Damian Penaud missed the win over Italy in Rome two weeks ago but returns on the flank for Les Bleus.
Locks Emmanuel Meafou and Hugo Auradou replace Romain Taofifenua and Alexandre Roumat on the bench, while Maxime Lucu is the only back named among the substitutes in a surprising 7-1 split selected by Galthie.
