Turkey odds to win Euro 2024: Turkey advance to the quarter-finals

Turkey booked their place in the last-8 of Euro 2024 after managing a sensational 2-1 win over Austria in their last-16 clash on Tuesday evening. 

They will now do battle with the Netherlands for a semi-final spot.

Vincenzo Montella was appointed as Turkey’s manager in September 2023, replacing Stefan Kuntz, and his opening six games in charge have featured three wins and a draw.

Montella has a wealth of managerial experience, having earned his stripes at Fiorentina before taking charge of Milan and Sevilla.

The 49-year-old was most recently with Adana Demirspor and was a great success in Turkey's top flight, no doubt a reason why the Turkish FA chose him as Kuntz's successor.

Montella loves to play possession-based football with a heavy reliance on attacking midfielders who can contribute both goals and assists, which should allow him to get the best out of Inter Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu.
