Spain Euro 2024 Head Coach
Spain manager Luis de la Fuente was appointed as Luis Enrique's successor after La Roja's disappointing last-16 exit at the World Cup.
De la Fuente had spent almost a decade working with Spain's youth teams and he led them to a silver medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Spain's possession-based football has brought them great success in recent tournaments and De la Fuente has a similar ethos.
His appointment of centre-forward Morata as captain signalled his liking for a physical focal point to the attack and he is not afraid to make left-field selections – his first squad in March 2023 featured 13 players who had not been at the World Cup four months earlier.
