Romania odds to win Euro 2024: The Tricolours face Netherlands in the last-16

Romania failed to qualify for Euro 2020, but they emerged victorious from Euro 2024 Group E to progress through to the knockout stages for the first time since Euro 2000.

Romania To Win Euro 2024 Odds

Romania's Euro 2024 Winner Odds range from 125/1 all the way out to 250/1.

Romania have had a patchy record when it comes to the European Championships and they failed to reach the 2020 finals having gone out in the group stage at the 2016 tournament.

Their best performance came at Euro 2000 where they reached the quarter-finals in the Belgium and Netherlands hosted tournament, famously beating England 3-2 in the group stage along the way.

Few would have expected them to conquer a group containing Belgium this time around, but they did just that, now they will set their sights on overcoming the Netherlands in the last-16.

Romania Euro 2024 Top Scorer Odds

Romania scored just 16 goals in qualifying, and no one player dominated the goalscoring charts for the Tricolours.

Veteran forward Denis Alibec bagged three times, as did fellow forward Valentin Mihaila and midfielder Nicolae Stanciu. Ianis Hagi also weighed in with a couple from midfield but none of the Romanian cohort are expected to trouble the big guns in the Euro 2024 Top Scorer Market.

Stanciu found the net in their opener and after being priced at 250/1 pre-tournament, his odds have been cut to 71/1.

Romania win Group E

All four teams finished on four points in an ultra competitive Group E, with Romania finishing top of the pile.

They crushed Ukraine 3-0 in their opening game, which was followed by a 2-0 defeat to Belgium. However, they carved out a point against Slovakia to secure the top spot.

Romania Euro 2024 Route to the Final

Romania will no doubt fancy their chances of upsetting the Netherlands in the last-16, given the inconsistent performances of the Dutch. However, it would still be a shock if they claim the win.

Should they do so they'd meet the winner of Austria vs Turkey in the quarter-finals, then one of England, Italy, Switzerlamd or Slovakia in the semi-final.

Romania Euro 2024 Head Coach

Edward Iordanescu has been in charge of the Romanian national team for just over two years, having been appointed as manager in January 2022. 

The 45-year-old struggled to make it as a player, featuring just 43 times in a seven-year spell that started at Steaua Bucharest and finished at Vaslui in 2004.

Things have been better for Iordanescu in management where he has enjoyed decent stints at Astra Giurgiu, Cluj and FCSB where he won eight of 11 matches prior to being named national team boss.

Iordanescu has overseen 22 matches as Romania head coach, winning nine times, drawing seven matches and losing just six times, and Euro 2024 will clearly be the biggest test of his career.
