Wales vs Scotland Prediction and Betting Tips: Three bets for Six Nations match

Scotland have a poor record away to Wales, but this could be the perfect time to put that right as they head to the Principality Stadium as favourites.
The Rugby World Cup at the end of last year was a disappointment for the Scots as they fell at the pool stage after defeats to South Africa and Ireland, although they showed their attacking edge in big wins over Tonga and Romania.
The Scots have won three Six Nations matches in three of the last four years and can continue their progress with a rare away success.

Wales vs Scotland Tips
Wales head coach Warren Gatland has left supporters under no illusion of the task his young squad face in this year’s tournament.
In a way it’s a classic Gatland tactic, to take the pressure off his own players and put it all on the opposition, but it would be one of his greatest coaching achievements if he could guide this current crop to Six Nations success.
The Rugby World Cup marked the end of the international career of a host of big names, while others had already been out of the picture before then.
The upshot is a lack of experience, especially up front, and only six players who started for Wales in their final Six Nations match of 2023 make the line-up on Saturday.
The backline includes established stars Josh Adams and Nick Tompkins, while winger Rio Dyer is a potential star with 14 caps to his name.
But the loss of Dan Biggar and Gareth Anscombe has opened the door for Sam Costelow to start at fly-half with just eight caps to his name, while full-back Cameron Winnett makes his international debut.
There will be a lot of responsibility on 23-year-old Costelow and to make things worse he is playing behind a young pack who may struggle to provide decent front-foot ball.
Physicality and set-piece strength are at the core of Six Nations success and Scotland look to have a clear edge.
Scotland have a host of attacking threats out wide, but a name has been added to the teamsheet this weekend following an injury to Blair Kinghorn.
Glasgow’s Kyle Rowe is set to make his first start, a year after his first cap ended in agony as he was injured minutes after coming off the bench.
Former Sevens star Rowe has been in great scoring form for Glasgow and he can add some x-factor to the Scots’ bright backline, marshalled by world-class fly-half Finn Russell.
Scotland have made a u-turn on their earlier decision to keep the roof open at the Principality Stadium, but even with the rain kept out this may not turn into an all-out attacking contest.
Wales may well struggle to get on the board if their set-piece comes under pressure and Scotland may well look to play for territory to keep them at arm’s length. They have managed just one try in each of their last two meetings with Scotland and are missing the attacking threat of Louis Rees-Zammit and George North.
Scotland will put pragmatism first on the road and while they have the weapons to break through the Welsh defence, a measured performance looks most likely.
