Strictly Come Dancing Week 6 Elimination Recap
Strictly’s Halloween special is always an iconic moment in the series, and Saturday night didn’t disappoint.
I sided with the bookies’ elimination pick which proved to be right. Zara McDermott performed admirably to reach this stage, competing with no prior dance training in an incredibly strong field of celebrities. She bowed out of the series in a dance-off against Adam Thomas.
This was Adam’s first appearance in the dance-off and came as a surprise for some fans. The actor’s score of 32 on Saturday was his third in a row, and seemingly cemented his place as a contender to reach the latter stages. But as we know, it’s the voting public who have the greatest influence over Strictly eliminations.
According to the bookies, Adam is now the least likely to win the show – his odds have jumped to 125/1.
Strictly Come Dancing Winner Odds
Ellie Leach finished Saturday night top of the leaderboard for the very first time, cutting her odds to win from 7/1 to a best price of 3/1 from bet365. Ellie’s salsa with partner Vito Coppola earned 38 points, including tens from Motsi and Shirley.
Those odds mean Ellie overtakes Nigel Harman in the list of the bookies’ favourites. She sits between Harman and Bobby Brazier, who continues to be the frontrunner – best price odds on Brazier to win come from William Hill at 9/4.
Despite performing consistently well – he’s scored between 29 and 32 in every dance so far – Brazier is yet to set the series on fire. His cha cha cha had him sixth on the leaderboard with 30 points, including a six from Craig. For now, public support has been enough to see Bobby through, but he’ll need to start turning in some first-class performances if he wants to win the Glitterball Trophy.
Angela Rippon’s Charleston on Saturday night is a contender for dance of the series. Craig scored it higher than all his fellow judges – a truly rare Strictly occurrence – for what he called “a swivel masterclass”.
Odds on Rippon to win have been cut from 50/1 to a best price of 33/1 from a number of bookmakers. She continues to perform well in the eyes of both judges and voters, so it might be time to start monitoring her odds very closely.

Next Elimination Odds
Looking ahead to Saturday’s show, it’s very hard to say where voting loyalties now lie.
Adam is the bookies’ favourite to be eliminated with odds of 4/5 from a number of Strictly betting sites, but I don’t think it’s his time to go just yet.
I’d look instead at Annabel Croft. I tipped her for elimination in week five, where she was fortunate to escape a dance-off having finished in the bottom two on the leaderboard.
At this stage of the competition, we’re left only with strong dancers. One poor performance from any celebrity could be enough for elimination, and I think it’s coming for Annabel this week.
Best price odds on her to leave come from Betfred at 13/2.
