Strictly Come Dancing Week 6 Tips: Back Zara McDermott to be eliminated

Strictly Come Dancing quicksteps its way into Week 6 this weekend.
As always, Guy Evans is on hand to run through last weekend's show and, after a profitable series so far, he provides his best bet for the exit door.
Strictly Come Dancing Week 5 Elimination Recap
Lots to discuss this week!
Eddie Kadi’s entertaining stint on Strictly came to an end during Sunday’s results show, losing out in the dance-off to Zara McDermott. Since his exceptional couple’s choice routine in week three, comedian Kadi has struggled to convince and was voted off in a clean sweep.
Annabel Croft might count herself a little fortunate not to have been in Zara’s position – the former tennis pro finished in the judges’ bottom two on Saturday night after scoring 27 points for her Charleston.
But the major news from the Strictly ballroom this week is that actor Amanda Abbington has left the show. Abbington didn’t perform on Saturday night citing medical reasons, and it’s still a little uncertain what’s caused her to leave.
The show has confirmed that eliminations will continue every week until the series’ conclusion in December, which means business as usual – nobody is safe this week.
Abbington had performed consistently well throughout the series, and her surprise exit means there are just nine dancers left in the show.

Of those nine, West End star Layton Williams continues to dazzle. He’s improving each week, recording the series’ highest score of 39 on Saturday for his incredible salsa. It was a perfect performance in the eyes of everyone apart from Craig Revel-Horwood – but that man doesn’t give tens lightly.
Remarkably, odds on Williams to win continue to sit at a best price of 14/1 from bet365. At those odds, I’ve been beseeching readers of this page to back him, so I hope the message is getting through.
Coronation Street’s Ellie Leach also continues to state her credentials for the Strictly crown. Her paso doble performance was full of power, attack and style – all the necessary ingredients for a fiery paso – and scored a season’s best 37 points. Odds on her to win have stayed consistent throughout; she can be backed at a best price of 7/1, again from bet365.
Angela Rippon also turned in a season’s best of 34 for her Argentine tango. Angela’s partner Kai Widdrington is doing an exceptional job of accentuating her strengths – her odds remain at 50/1 to win.
Adam Thomas is showing signs of life in the competition with back-to-back scores of 32, while Krishnan Guru-Murthy scored his second 30 of the series for his quickstep. Both can be backed at 100/1.
There’s been a change in the bookies’ favourite for the first time since the series began: Bobby Brazier is now the one to beat at 2/1, overtaking Nigel Harman who moves narrowly to a best price of 10/3.
Strictly Come Dancing Week 6 Elimination Odds
Looking ahead to this week’s show, I think the days are numbered for Zara McDermott. She’s been in the dance-off three times out of four, and with the quality rising each week, there may not be anywhere left for her to hide. I’m siding with the bookies here so you won’t find great odds on that bet, with a best price coming from Sky Bet at 1/2.
