Strictly Come Dancing Week 5 Tips: 14/1 outsider tipped for exit

Strictly Come Dancing waltzes its way into Week 5 with only 12 couples remaining.
As always, Guy Evans is on hand to run through last weekend's show and, after three straight successful tips in a row, he provides his best bet for the exit door.
Strictly Come Dancing Week 4 Elimination Recap
Jody Cundy and Jowita Przystal became the third couple to leave Strictly on Sunday night.
The Paralympian struggled on both nights and his samba was riddled with errors during the dance-off.
Eddie Kadi and his partner Karen Hauer were the beneficiaries, performing in their first dance-off of the series.
Latest Strictly Come Dancing Winner Odds
It was a fall from dizzy heights for comedian Kadi, who registered the series’ first ten in the previous week. He was deservedly in the bottom two with a score of 24 points for his American smooth.
Odds on Kadi to win have climbed massively for the second consecutive week – he can now be backed at 150/1 at William Hill.
The other significant mover on our odds tracker is actor Adam Thomas. His American smooth with Luba Mushtuk was by far his best performance of the series, scoring 31 points. Odds on him to win have been slashed from 150/1 to 100/1.
Despite performing a classy rumba which scored 31 points, Angela Rippon’s odds have also climbed again to 50/1 to win. Rippon’s dances to date – foxtrot, quickstep, cha cha cha, and rumba – represent a good mix of Ballroom and Latin techniques, proving the now 79-year-old can adapt to different styles and energies. She might just be worth an outside punt.
There’s no doubt that Saturday night belonged to Layton Williams. His cha cha cha is the dance of the series so far, scoring 37 points including a ten from judge Motsi Mabuse. I said in my week two preview that Layton’s odds to win were unlikely to climb any higher than the 12/1 offered at the time, but you can currently back him at 14/1 at bet365.
Saturday night’s other standout performer was the bookies’ frontrunner Nigel Harman. His salsa – a notoriously difficult dance for male celebrities – oozed conviction and scored 33 points. Harman had turned in two subdued performances in the previous weeks, but this was a return to form.
Bobby Brazier now sits alongside Harman as the bookies’ favourite – both can be backed at 3/1 to win.

Next Elimination Odds
Les Dennis, Nikita Kanda and Jody Cundy were all deserving of their eliminations but the series is getting a little harder to call now.
Zara McDermott is the favourite to leave the show this week; William Hill has a best price of 2/1. However, her 28 points on Saturday night was by far her best performance, and another week of improvement could see her pull away from the bottom two.
Eddie Kadi’s appearance in the dance-off on Sunday proved he’ll need to dance well if he’s to progress – the best price of him to be next eliminated comes from Betfair at 21/10.
My outside bet would be on Annabel Croft at 14/1. The former tennis player has performed solidly so far without distinguishing herself in the competition, and bet365’s odds of 14/1 for her to leave offer good value – particularly if she’s tasked with one of the more flamboyant Latin dances.
That’s all for this week – I’ll be back next time with more Strictly betting tips.
