Sevilla vs. Roma Bet Builder Tips: Back Brazilian duo to be carded in Europa League Final

The Europa League final between Sevilla and Roma will take place in Budapest on Wednesday evening and here at BettingOdds.com we’ve put together our best bet builder tips for the occasion. We are expecting a heated contest between the pair and its two players to be carded that have caught our eye.

No side has had more success in the history of this tournament than Sevilla who have lifted the trophy six times. Los Rojiblancos have been victorious on every occasion they have reached the final, but something must give here with Jose Mourinho also never having tasted defeat in all five of his European finals.

Taking a look at the odds to lift the trophy, most trusted betting sites are struggling to split the two, with 10/11 on offer for each side. In terms of the match result odds, Sevilla are just edging favouritism at 7/4 to get the job done in 90 minutes, with Roma chalked up at 9/5. Five of the last 14 Europa League finals have ended in a draw after normal time and a repeat here can be backed at 15/8.

Ten yellow cards were shown in Roma’s semi-final second leg with Bayer Leverkusen and we’re hoping for a similar story here, with plenty of dark arts and time-wasting from both sides should they be leading in the second half.

The Brazilian defender has been shown a yellow in four of the five knockout matches he has started in Europa League this season. Marcos Acuna was sent off against Real Madrid in La Liga on Saturday for Sevilla and will miss this game with Roma due to his dismissal in the semi-final against Juventus. Alex Telles should take his place and start the match at left-back and we’ll be hoping he continues a similar role to his South American counterpart with a booking.

Telles has made 26 league appearances for Sevilla this season, however 11 of those have been as a substitute. In that period he has been cautioned six times at an average of 0.4 cards per 90 minutes.
