In the match result market, the European champions are odds-on favourites to pick up all three points in this contest at 11/20. Sweden, who were defeated 4-0 in their last encounter with England in 2022, offer punters a 15/4 shot should they upset the odds at Wembley. Finally, the draw can be backed at 11/4.
England Women vs Sweden Women Tips
With this being largely the same 23-player squad who dismantled Austria and Italy in February, there's every reason to believe that the Lionesses can pick up an all important victory. Sarina Wiegman and her side are boosted by welcoming back skipper Leah Williamson, but this game shouldn't be viewed as the straightforward 4-0 EURO semi-final win proved to be in Sheffield two years ago.
There are considered to be only five teams in the world better than Sweden right now - England included - so we shouldn't expect them to be pushovers on Friday. They've displayed a lot of grit and a surprising amount of firepower lately, especially in close run ins with world champions Spain in a 5-3 loss in December and a 2-1 defeat last August.
Although their Nations League campaign didn't go according to plan, they recovered from two defeats and a draw in their final three matches to secure their place in League A for at least another year thanks to a pair of 5-0 rompings over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the relegation play-offs.
Friday's hosts have kept only one clean sheet in their last five games, which came against a Scotland side who don't even feature in the top 20 of the FIFA women's rankings. However, continuing their momentum in this clash and the away trip to Ireland next week is crucial before a tough test versus world No.3 France in Group A3, so expect England to ultimately complete the job.
One of this season's biggest WSL success stories is rising star Grace Clinton whose four goals and three assists across 16 appearances for loan club Tottenham Hotspur have earned her many plaudits. This campaign has proven a fantastic follow up to last season's promotion-driven triumph with six goals in 12 appearances on loan at Bristol City.
At just the tender age of 21, Clinton looks unfazed on the biggest of stages, no less displayed when scoring 19 minutes into her international debut in the 7-2 win over Austria two months ago. The midfielder, who has been tipped to be England's next superstar, should fit nicely into the setup under Wiegman, who has praised her ability and the speed at which she processes information both tactically and in real time on the field.
Her versatility could also prove to be a key asset, especially for this particular bet as the fact that she played as a No.8 for England but is predominantly a left winger for her club gives her a good entryway into the Lionesses picture.
