Cray Valley’s Artic Stadium may only have the capacity for 1000 fans, but the venue will be the hottest ticket in town on Wednesday after the Isthmian South East Division side pulled off their biggest result in FA Cup history when they held the Addicks to a 1-1 draw ten days ago.
Steve McKimm’s side have already featured in eight FA Cup fixtures so far this term in order to make it to this point, however this is not the only occasion they have made it to the first round of the tournament, having done so three years ago when they were beaten 1-0 by Havant & Waterlooville.
Charlton currently find themselves just inside the top-half of England’s third tier occupying 11th place in the League One table. Since their stalemate with The Millers in the FA Cup they traveled to Charlton where they collected an excellent point in a 2-2 draw against the league leaders.
Cray Valley may be a potential banana skin in this tie for Charlton but bookmakers have priced them at 9/1 to secure a historic win. The draw is available at 11/2, while a victory for Michael Appleton’s men is on show at 1/4.

The five-tier gap between these two could be very telling on Wednesday and with Michael Appleton traditionally having no time for FA Cup sentiment, we expect him to name a relatively strong side albeit with a few changes to the side that made the trip to the South Coast to take on Portsmouth on Saturday.
One player we expect to start the game is Corey Taylor-Blackett. The 26-year-old has scored five goals in his last ten appearances for Charlton and is averaging 2.1 shots per game across the course of the season so far.
