ATP Finals Day 4 Tips
Carlos Alcaraz vs Andrey Rublev
We’re on the fourth day of the ATP Finals, and we’ve seen just the one upset in the four matches in the first two days, where Carlos Alcaraz lost to Alexander Zverev.
Alcaraz is now desperate for a win if he's to win the ATP finals and is up in the first match of the day where he faces Andrey Rublev.
Surprisingly, this is going to be their first professional meeting. They have met once before, but this was an exhibition in Dubai where Rublev won 6-2 6-1, which I wouldn't factor in the pricing here.
Alcaraz will be disappointed after he lost to Alexander Zverev where he was a set-up, while Rublev lost to Daniil Medvedev, where the world number five failed to convert even one of his seven break points.
I'm going to be backing the Spaniard again today. Though he has not been impressive the past few weeks, I still believe that the pricing has overreacted to some of these performances.
Rublev hasn't looked great and conceded 10 break points in just nine matches against Medvedev.
Daniil Medvedev vs Alexander Zverev
Daniil Medvedev looked great against Andrey Rublev, and I feel like the Russian really does well in these fast conditions with his world class returning ability and strong serve.
We saw him do well in Vienna, where he reached the final but lost to Jannik Sinner in a tight three set battle.
Zverev impressed against Carlos Alcaraz, and won relatively comfortably in the end after losing the first set.
Zverev and Daniil Medvedev have faced each other a total of 18 times! And this year has been a record, where the Russian beat Zverev four times while the German managed just to win once.
The game spread for the Russian looks great value, and we’ll be going for this!
