The Gunners maintained their unbeaten home record with a 6-0 demolition of Lens midweek, a win which secured their passage to the competition's last 16 with a game to spare. Mikel Arteta and co will seek extending Arsenal's win streak to five matches by dispatching Wolves this weekend - a team they've won the last four meetings with.
Last Monday's 3-2 defeat to Fulham was drenched in controversy, but that result now means that Wolves have lost two of their last three matches and have won only one of their last four. November 2020 is the last time Wolves won on this ground and they're to continue their upward trajectory they're going to have to manage just a second win away to Arsenal in almost 45 years.
Arsenal vs Wolves Tips
After a standing start that saw Wolves pick up a single win from their opening four matches, they've got the ball rolling under Gary O'Neill and look to have turned a new leaf compared to recent seasons. Amidst some outstanding performances and results against Manchester City, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle, they've shown plenty of spirit and more importantly for this bet, proven they can rough it with some of the division's top teams.
All but two of Wolves' 13 Premier League fixtures have seen BTTS, only failing to score in their opening trip to Manchester United, where they were extremely unfortunate not to pick something up from the game and even take home all three points for that matter. Since then, they've put together a run of scoring and conceding in nine consecutive matches, with five of those coming on the road.
Arsenal, on the other hand, despite showing their class, especially in matches at the Emirates, haven't been impenetrable. Five of The Gunners' seven home league matches have featured BTTS, with Forest and Burnley each scoring one and Fulham putting away two on this ground. The hosts do hold the division's best defensive record after 13 matches played, however, after hitting 14 goals in their last eight outings, we believe it's worth siding with both teams to score in this 3pm encounter.
Wanderers' top scorer Hwang Hee-chan, who is as short as 16/5 elsewhere, is too big price of a price to notch on Saturday at a best price of 6/1 with BetMGM. The South Korean has seven to his name from 13 league appearances, averaging a goal every 0.73 games this term. In the charts, some of the division's elite play second fiddle to his tally, with only Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, Son Heung-min and Jarrod Bowen putting away more chances.
On this, Hwang has a higher goal conversion rate than the four aforementioned names, plus a better percentage than Ollie Watkins and Callum Wilson - two strikes who've matched his PL goals number. This statistic alone proves he can score from limited chances, which is more than likely to be the case when Wolves travel to the Emirates this weekend. That being said, goals vs Liverpool, Man City, Aston Villa and Newcastle lend a hand to him being more than capable of beating David Raya in the Arsenal goal.
The 27-year-old, and Wolves for that matter, will both benefit from having less of the ball in this match, allowing Arsenal to dictate play and carefully choosing their moments to strike. With the forward's pace and Wolves' ability to pick top teams apart on the break, the suspected circumstances make this bet worth some loose change.
