Arnold Palmer Invitational 2024 Odds, Predictions & Tips: Our best three bets for Florida

The PGA Tour's Florida swing continues this week with the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge, an event that also marks the fourth signature tournament of the season.
A select field of 69 players will be present in Orange County as they battle it out for the $4million winners cheque, with Scottie Scheffler the 6/1 favourite to come out on top, just ahead of 9/1 Rory McIlroy.
With a 36-hole cut to the top 50 and ties and any players within 10 shots of the lead, the Arnold Palmer promises to be a fantastic spectacle that should provide plenty of thrills and spills over the four days of action.

Arnold Palmer Invitational Tips
Given the plethora of talent teeing it up at Bay Hill this week, an argument can be made for several players to claim the spoils, but the reliable Tommy Fleetwood is the headline pick.
The world number 12 won on his second start of 2024, landing the Dubai Invitational crown on the DP World Tour, and he has since followed that up with finishes of T14, T31 and T10.
Fleetwood has been building up nicely ahead of this trip to Florida, with that top 10 at the Genesis Invitational last time out a solid performance, and his strong record at Bay Hill makes him a big contender.
Of his seven previous Arnold Palmer appearances, the 33-year-old has recorded a best finish of third and two further top-10 results. His game clearly suits this layout and another strong showing could be on the cards.
Australian Jason Day appears back to his best and he arrives following a couple of solid performances on the PGA Tour, finishing T6 at Pebble Beach before taking ninth at the Genesis.
The 36-year-old's short game has been as sharp as ever this season, as he ranks sixth in strokes gained: around-the-green, while he is in the top 15 for SG: total and tee-to-green.
Day is a previous winner at Bay Hill, triumphing in 2016, while he recorded a top-10 finish last year and he looks in prime shape to make a bold challenge for a second title.
Having gone for two non-USA players to win the tournament, the 6/5 available for any player in the field not representing America to claim the spoils is hard to ignore.
While the last three winners of this tournament have been American players, the five champions before that came from outside of the US and there looks to be some strong chances of victory outside the home favourites.
Along with Fleetwood and Day, there is 2018 champion McIlroy, Swedish star Ludvig Aberg, former US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick and 2021 Masters winner Hideki Matsuyama to name a few.
Throw in Adam Scott, Tom Kim, Sungjae Im and Minwoo Lee, and it looks like there is a fair chance a non-USA player will lift the trophy in Florida.
