Poland vs Netherlands Head-to-Head Statistics
The Euro 2024 draw was never going to be particularly kind on Poland, who in turn were placed in the same group as France and Netherlands. They have a rather poor record against the latter, having won just three of the 19 meetings and none of the last 12 stretching back to 1979.
The Netherlands have enjoyed a return of seven victories from the last eight encounters, including three wins from the four Nations League meetings across the last four years.

Match Preview: Poland vs Netherlands
Poland and Netherlands have been placed in a tricky Group D featuring France and Austria, meaning they'll both be eager to stamp an early point or three on the board when they go head-to-head in Hamburg.
After missing out on Euro 2016, Netherlands returned to the competition at Euro 2020, during which they enjoyed a clean sweep of wins in the group stages, only to then suffer a surprise last-16 defeat to Czech Republic. They would go on to win six of their eight matches in a runners-up finish behind France - who they lost to twice - in Euro 2024 qualifying Group B, while they've since lost a high-profile friendly to hosts Germany.
Ronald Koeman has a mixed record since returning for his second spell in January 2023. He will rely on key defensive players such as Virgil van Dijk and Nathan Ake, and will seek creativity and goals from Wout Weghorst, Memphis Depay, and Cody Gakpo.
Poland endured a disappointing qualification campaign, missing out on an automatic spot to Albania and Czech Republic. However, they fortunately managed to advance through to the play-offs via the Nations League. They beat Estonia in the semi-finals and then secured their spot in Germany after they edged past Wales on penalties.
Poland will hope to build on this momentum heading into Euro 2024 as they bid to progress from the group stages for only the second time in five tournaments. Poland face a very tough task against the Netherlands and France and have already suffered a huge blow following the news that star player Robert Lewandowski will miss the Holland game.
No strangers to each other, the countries recently faced off in both the 2020/21 and 2022/23 Nations League. Netherlands triumphed in three of those four games, with the other a 2-2 draw. In fact, the Dutch are unbeaten in the last 12 meetings, dating back to 1979.
The Best Betting Markets for Poland vs Netherlands
Poland's struggles in qualifying combined with their underwhelming performance at Euro 2020 and poor head-to-head record against the Netherlands, mean they could struggle in this Group D opener.
While Holland aren't exactly at their peak either, I fancy them to get the job done in Hamburg, with a win to nil catching my eye at 2/1. Cody Gakpo looks a solid price at 11/2 to open the scoring, while Wout Weghorst, who has a respectable record for his country, is available at 13/2 in the last goalscorer market.
