Hungary are waiting to learn their fate at Euro 2024 as they sit in third place in Group A following their win over Scotland, meaning they must sit tight and watch results from other groups roll in before they know if they're through to the knock-out stages.

Hungary To Win Euro 2024 Odds

Hungary began their Euro 2024 campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Switzerland when many pundits were tipping them to upset the odds against el Nati.

They couldn't manage a shock victory in their second game either, falling to a 2-0 defeat to hosts Germany in Stuttgart.

Marco Rossi's side were able to beat Scotland 0-1 thanks to a last-gasp winner in their final game of the group stages leaving them on three points from three games and waiting for results in other groups to seal their fate.

As such, with us not being sure whether Hungary will progress, it's no surprise to see odds of around 250/1 for the Magyars to go on and win the tournament.

Given Hungary managed just 16 goals in qualifying and the fact they are not fancied to go deep in the tournament, it was little surprise to see their shortest-priced golden boot hope chalked up at 200/1 pre-tournament, with Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai the man with that honour, but he's yet to find the net in his team's first three games.

Roland Varga and Kevin Csoboth are the two men to find the net for the Magyars so far in this tournament but neither of them are in the running to go on and win the Golden Boot.

Hungary Euro 2024 Head Coach

Marco Rossi has been Hungary coach since 2018, leading them to two European Championship finals and putting in three more-than-respectable Nations League performances in that time. 

He has won 51.6% of his 62 games in charge, while his sole honour as a manager came with Budapest Honved when landing the Hungarian top-flight in 2017. 

Rossi almost always utilises a 3-4-2-1 system in possession, with Szoboszlai and Varga usually partnered in attack by Roland Sallai.

Out of possession the system tends to be more of a 5-3-2, with wing-backs Loic Nego and Milos Kerkez pivotal to transitioning from defence to attack down the flanks.
