The man tasked with leading Georgia into Euro 2024 is former Bayern Munich and France right-back Willy Sagnol.

Sagnol worked as an assistant to current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti during their time together at Bayern Munich and was even interim boss of the Bavarian giants for a brief spell after Ancellotti’s departure from the Allianz Arena in September 2017.

Talking over as Georgia boss in February 2021, Sagnol has been praised for his efforts in leading the Crusaders to their first ever European Championship, aided by their performance in the 2022/23 Nations League before progressing through the play-offs.
