Wimbledon Monday Tips: 15/1 treble bet featuring Matteo Berrettini vs Carlos Alcaraz
Monday promises to be a great day at Wimbledon with plenty of big names taking to the court today.
We’ve taken a look at the betting market and picked out our three best bets for the day.
Wimbledon Monday Tips
Alcaraz vs Berrettini over 1.5 tie breaks
Matteo Berrettini looks back to his best at Wimbledon this year with his fitness and injury worries a distant memory at this point.
He’s only dropped one set this whole tournament and has looked incredibly impressive on his service games which is the core to Berrettini’s game.
Carlos Alcaraz of course needs no introduction and has looked unbelievable so far this grass season. His serve has also been rock solid and has proved to be a difficult man to break at SW19.
To start us off we’ll be backing over 1.5 tie breaks in this match at 7/4. With two big servers playing each other we could be looking at the two breezing through their service games and even if Alcaraz is a decent favourite for this one, it’s tough to stamp your authority on the Berrettini serve no matter how good you are.
Berrettini has had over 1.5 tie breaks in two of his three games at Wimbledon so far and Alcaraz has gone to a tie break in every match at Wimbledon this year. I think considering the style of the two players, a few tie breaks will definitely be needed to settle this match.
Petra Kvitova to win 2-0
Petra Kvitova has always been a danger on grass and that’s evident in the two Wimbledon titles she has claimed in her career. Whilst they may have been over 10 years ago, she is back to looking very solid on the surface and has won her last two matches at Wimbledon in straight sets.
Ons Jabeur is obviously also a threat on grass but she has seen two early exits from tournaments prior to Wimbledon with losses against Camila Giorgi and Jule Niemeier which really should not be happening.
When it comes to the head-to-head, Kvitova has won four of the five matchups they have played winning their first three clashes in straight sets.
We’ll be backing that to happen again today at 2/1 which seems very generous considering the history between the two. Kvitova’s serve has been rock solid at Wimbledon and aside from one dodgy set against Paolini, she’s looked unbelievable so far.
Rybakina to win 2-0
The reigning Champion Elena Rybakina will be back in action later on against Haddad Maia, a player who she so desperately would like to beat.
These two have met twice in the past but injuries have had their say in both of these matchups with Rybakina being forced to withdraw from their last encounter, then she struggled after leading by a set in their first matchup.
Fortunately for Rybakina she has a huge advantage on this surface and should have an easy day at the office against the Brazilian.
Rybakina’s last match was against the home favourite Katie Boulter and, well, it didn’t go very well for the Brit. The Kazakh absolutely dismantled her winning the game 6-1, 6-1, and when you see Rybakina winning games like that, you know she’s well and truly back.
Rybakina has won her last two matches at Wimbledon 2-0 and has only lost one of her last 10 matches on grass. On the other hand, Haddad Maia has been to three sets in two of her games so far against fairly weak opponents. She’s also lost four of her last 10 games on the surface and that should paint a pretty good picture of the quality difference between these two.
Rybakina to win 2-0 finishes off our tips for the day and with that selection we’re left with a 15.5/1 treble with Bet365 if you choose to combine our three picks!
