US Open Day 10 Betting Tips: Two bets for Wednesday

In a flash we're now preparing for the 10th day of the US Open, meaning we have players fighting it out for a place in the semi-finals, inching closer to one of the biggest titles in the world.

Tipster Max Saakyan brings us his best bets for Wednesday's play.

The first match we'll go into is Carlos Alcaraz against Alexander Zverev, with the Spaniard fighting to defend his title.

Alcaraz has been highly impressive so far, though he has been pretty fortunate with his opponents.

He faced Dominic Koepfer in the opening round, with the German retiring in the second set due to injury. Afterwards he had to go through the hard hitting Lloyd Harris and then the tricky Dan Evans to secure his spot in the round of 16.

He then faced the in-form Matteo Arnaldi, who took our Cameron Norrie as a huge underdog the round before. The defending champion showed his prowess, and got the job done in straight sets, 6-3 6-3 6-4.

Zverev comes into this match up with confidence, leading the H2H record 3-2.

The German played out of his mind against Jannik Sinner, beating the Italian in a brilliant five-set match which lasted over four hours.

Alcaraz hasn’t looked completely convincing to his standards since his win at Wimbledon, and I think the 37/50 odds we’re getting for the German at +6.5 Games shows some value.

The second match is a battle of the Russians, as Daniil Medvedev takes on Andrey Rublev in the quarter-finals.

Both players have looked convincing throughout this competition, with Medvedev dropping just two sets and Rublev dropping three.

They have history, and Daniil Medvedev has dominated that.

He leads the head-to-head 6-2, with the more recent win coming earlier this year in Dubai in the final, winning with ease 6-2 6-2.

I think his game is going to be too difficult for Rublev, as we've seen in previous occasions. I think the game spread shows great value here, with Medvedev -4.5 Games available at even-money.
