Masters Each-Way Tips
Hideki Matsuyama - 18/1
Could Hideki Matuyama be criminally overpriced at 18/1 in the winner market? Well, the 2021 winner of The Masters has one of the most consistent records at Augusta National with eight top-20 finishes in his last nine visits.
Matsuyama has some form worth taking a look at this year. The 32-year-old was a winner of the Genesis Invitational in February and arrives in Georgia off the back of T6 finish at the Players Championship and T7 at the Valero Texas Open. A player with an excellent short-game, and there is no denying there are a few question marks over the Japanese star, which is reflected in his price. However, all of Phil Mickleson, Bubba Watson and Arnold Palmer won their second Green Jacket, two years after their first and we think Hideki could give you a good run for your money at 18/1 with 10 places and above each-way.
Sanith Theegala - 45/1
Sanithh Theegala only made his Masters debut 12 months ago but put in a very strong showing finishing ninth! Since then, he has become a winner on the PGA Tour landing the Fortinet Championship and more recently he has displayed his quality with a runner-up finish at the Sentry Tournament and a fifth place at the Phoenix Open.
A player who can go long off the tee and is accurate with his approach, Theegala looks to have all the attributes of a player who can challenge those at the head of the market this week. His short game has got better and better over the last 12 months and he makes plenty of each-way appeal at the current prices.
Adam Scott – 80/1
For our final selection we are giving a shout to Australian Adam Scott at 80/1 with most firms. The 2013 Masters winner has played some good golf over the last six months, with two top-six finishes in events in his homeland of Australia. He then started the calendar year with a 7th place in the Dubai Desert Classic and an 8th at the Genesis. Scott has made the cut at The Masters on all of his last 14 visits to Augusta and it would be no surprise to see him sneak into the each-way places at a big price.
