The Players Championship Betting Tips: Three selections for TPC Sawgrass success

Outside of the four majors, tournaments don’t tend to get jucier than the Players Championship which takes place at TPC Sawgrass - complete with the iconic 17th hole - this week.
BettingOdds have sourced the odds from the best online betting sites, analysed the favourites in Florida, and identified three picks for glory.
The Favourites
Jon Rahm catapulted out of the blocks at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, only to slip down to T39, which was the first time the World No.1 had finished an event outside of the top-8 in 11 tournaments; five of which he's won.
As chronicled in our previous golf tipping preview, Rahm has been in scintillating form in 2023, claiming three wins already including The Genesis Invitational last month. He now heads to TPC Sawgrass at a best-priced 10/1 with Betfred.
Joining Rahm in the top echelon of the betting is 2019 Players Championship victor Rory McIlroy (10/1, bet365), who agonisingly missed out on glory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last weekend, where he finished a single shot behind winner Kurt Kitayama.
Scottie Scheffler is up next at 11/1, pursued by the likes of Patrick Cantlay, 2021 winner Justin Thomas, and Max Homa.
Before we reveal our three fancies for glory at The Players, take some time to browse through the full outright market below: To place your bet simply click on the odds and a betslip will open up on the bookmaker's website.
The Players Championship Tips
Viktor Hovland
On the periphery of the top contenders in the market you'll find Viktor Hovland at 28/1 with William Hill.
World No.11 Hovland is fresh off the back of a top-10 finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week - where he aced the 7th hole during his second round - and also secured a top-10 finish (9th) at the 2022 Players Championship.
Victorious at the Hero Challenge in December, you get the feeling the in-form 25-year-old is on the cusp of conjuring up a concrete challenge in 2023 considering he has five top-20 finishes from his last six events, while the Norwegian hasn't missed a single cut since July.
Keegan Bradley
Keegan Bradley has been bubbling along nicely with some impressive performances of late.
Bradley finished 2nd at the Farmers Insurance Open last month, T20 at the WM Phoenix Open, and last week secured a spot in the top-10 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
He can be rather hit-or-miss, reflected in missed cuts at the Sony Open in Hawaii and The Genesis Invitational, but won as recently as October at the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP and can draw on some fantastic displays at The Players.
Bradley has made the cut in each of his last six appearances, finishing 5th last year and 7th in 2018.
The major winner is a best priced 50/1 with UniBet (7 places at 1/5), although I like the added security of 10 places with Paddy Power who have priced him up at 40/1.
Brian Harman
For the long shot, I'm siding with Brian Harman due to his fondness for the course here at TPC Sawgrass.
Harman has delivered three top-10 finishes at the Players in his last seven appearances. This includes third in 2021 and 8th on two occasions (2019 and 2015).
Admittedly his recent form doesn't inspire too much confidence given he's missed the cut twice in a row on the tour, but he had a couple of runners-up finishes in November and I'm hoping his admirable course record can spark the World No. 27 into life this week.
At 125/1, he represents a huge price with Paddy Power, who are offering 10 places at 1/5.
