NFL Betting Tips: 9/1 Eight-Fold for Week 17's action

As part of our expanding sports coverage here at BettingOdds.com we've enlisted our US sports specialist @OddsTerrier to do a weekly NFL preview and accumulator. This will lead right up to the playoffs and eventually the 'Greatest show on Earth' Superbowl LVI, which will take place on February 13 in Inglewood, California at the SoFi Stadium, home of the LA Rams and Chargers. We'll have comprehensive NFL tips and prop bets throughout the playoff period.
BOOMMMM!! That's the sound of last weeks NFL acca landing at 9/1! The bet pretty much went perfectly to plan - The Lions just beat the spread, The Jets were slightly less rubbish than the Jags, The Rams got over the line vs the always dangerous Vikings and of course the Chiefs demolished the Steelers as predicted, holding Big Ben and the boys to just 10 points.
This week we've slightly changed tack and we've picked out a 8-fold of early favourites in the early evening kick offs. This little lot pays a smidgeon under 9/1 at value kings SBK. If you don't have an account there, then you really should as they are consistently top price on a lot of markets. If not you can get on at Betfair which pays a little under 8/1.
As always, good luck and please remember to only bet what you can afford to lose.
NFL Week 17 Tips
Atlanta Falcons @ Buffalo Bills - Bills
Josh Allen and his men are big favourites in this one - giving 14.5 points in the spread and it isn't hard to see why. The Bills sit atop the AFC East and are on a two game winning streak including a dominant looking win over the red hot Patriots. The Falcons are in second place in the NFC South but have struggled against the better teams. Their last three wins are over the Jags, the Panthers and the Lions - hardly a stellar roll call. They rank in the bottom ten in the league in most categories and the Bills should put them to the sword here.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Cincinnati Bengals - Bengals
The Chiefs are officially on Superbowl chasing mode. After a dodgy start to the season, KC have won 8 straight and are starting to click on both sides of the ball. they have won the AFC West again and are number 1 seed in the AFC. Their defence is a problem for anyone right now; in the last 7 weeks only the Chargers have managed to put more than 14 points past them and in that time they've held five teams to ten points or less. However, they come up against the red hot Bengals who are top of the AFC North and had a very impressive win last week against the Ravens. I would struggle to pick anyone over Patrick Mahomes in a crucial match like this one and expect the Chiefs to defeat Cincinnati here.
Las Vegas Raiders @ Indianapolis Colts - Colts
The Raiders could potentially be eliminated in Indy if results fail to go their way. Similarly, the Colts have huge repercussions from this game as they attempt to win the AFC South. The Raiders have a decent run defence and they will need to be right at the top of their game to stifle the phenomenon that is Jonathon Taylor who is putting together a MVP contending season. I fully expect the Colts to extend their winning streak to four and continue their march into the post season.
Los Angeles Rams @ Baltimore Ravens - Rams
The Rams have looked an extremely impressive unit in the last month; winning four straight and are starting to click at the business end of the season. The Ravens, on the other hand, have been abject. They've lost their last four games, admittedly against some decent looking sides but without figurehead Lamar Jackson they look toothless. He may return this week but even with him, I still see the Rams taking this one behind the arm of Matt Stafford and the stunning form of WR Cooper Kupp.
New York Giants @ Chicago Bears - Bears
Who in their right mind will be watching this one? Both teams have looked poor this season but in the grand scheme of things the Bears should edge this one. The Giants are a hot mess! Jake Fromm had just 25 yards vs the Eagles and the alternative of Mike Glennon doesn't look much better if he gets the nod. Chicago had a good win last time out vs the Seahawks and will be hoping to build some momentum moving into next season. They should win this one by controlling the ball on the ground and letting their defence run riot against the Giants QB's.
Philadephia Eagles @ Washington Football Team - Eagles
This is a massive match up for both sides. If Washington don't win they are toast and the Eagles have to really win here too to stay in contention. The sides couldn't really be at more polar opposites in recent weeks. The Eagles are on the march, winning three straight, whereas the Washington Football Team have lost three on the spin and look doomed. We don't really know which Jalen Hurts will show up for the Eagles but against this defence he should have too much. They have conceded over 497 yards in their last two outings!
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New York Jets - Buccaneers
Tampa Bay have won the NFC South but have to continue to be relentless if they want a bye in the first week of the playoffs. They should have no problems doing so against a very poor Jets team and I fully expect Tom Brady to pull this defence apart. They are a 13.5 favourite in the spread and I can see them covering that and more. Blowout incoming!
Jacksonville Jaguars @ New England Patriots - Patriots
Read above. The Jags are absolutely trash and couldn't even get over the line versus the Jets last week. The Patriots will be desperate to put things right after two poor performances in recent weeks and will be looking for an easy win at the Gillette Stadium. I can't see Mac Jones running riot but Belichick will simply grind the Jags into the dirt here.
