Remember it's not just all about which team wins there are many markets to bet on including MVP (we chose correctly for 2022 with Cooper Kupp @ 7/1), anytime touchdown scorer (we chose right again with Odell Beckham Jr @ 11/8), although we did opt for over 5.5 receptions for Tee Higgins which we just missed out on...

Popular NFL Markets
Point Spread: UK Bettors don’t often use this type of bet but it is the most popular in the US, so for American Sports this is a very common market.
If the bookies believes that the Patriots for example were a 6.5pt favourite at home to the Jets, you can bet on the game with the 6.5 handicap applied to either side of the bet. So if you think the Jets will lose but keep it within 6.5 points you would bet NY +6.5. If you think they lose by seven or more then New England -6.5 is the side you want to be on. In this market you will pretty much always see both sides of the bet priced u at around 10/11.
Moneyline: This is the market UK people are the most comfortable with. You are betting quite simply on who you think will win the game (with the draw also being an option). The favourite will be a short price - pretty much always odds-on - and the outsider according to the bookie will be odds against.
Prop Betting: You can bet on such markets as ‘Who will score the First Touchdown?’ and the amount of catches a receiver will have and how many yards of stats players will put up. This is very similar to football, so if you are used to how many shots of targets markets and the like, you’ll pick this one up dead quick.
Over/Under Betting: This is similar to the Point Spread bet as the bookies will set up a number that they believe the two teams will score combined and you have to bet either over or under that points total. So if the number is set at 48.5pts then if the game ended 24-21 then the under gets paid out but a 27-41 scoreline would see the overs win.
Futures Bet: This is where you bet on the winner of an event - in the NFL that might mean the division, the conference or the Super Bowl.
NFL Acca: You can place bets on multiple matches on one bet slip but to get a winning bet - every bet has to come in. This is the same as a football accumulator bet.
What is the Super Bowl?
This game is the culmination of the NFL season and takes place at a predetermined venue across the United States. The winners of the two conferences (AFC and NFC) will play for the Vince Lombardi Trophy in early February each year. It is the most watched annual sporting event in the world and the Half-Time show often attracts some of the biggest musical stars on the planet to perform.
Who won the last Super Bowl?
The Los Angeles Rams are the reigning champions having emerged victorious in SB LVI in front of their own fans at the SoFi Stadium. They defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in a thrilling match that went right down to the last drive. They were the second team to have played the game in front of their own fans after Tampa Bay did last year.
When is the next Super Bowl?
SB LVII is slated for Sunday 12 February 2023 and will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. It is of course, the home of the Arizona Cardinals.
