Love Island Summer 2023 Odds: Latest cast of singletons confirmed for a summer of drama

It seems like just yesterday we were crowning Kai and Sanam as the Love Island champions from the winter season, but the reality TV juggernaut of a show wastes little time in returning to our screens these days! On Monday June 5th, it all kicks off again.
With Maya Jama now settled in as host, the second season of 2023 is almost upon us. Love Island fans of a certain vintage will feel more familiar with this series in the traditional summer slot. Hopefully this new cast of singletons are ready to give us plenty of dramatic moments like some of the icons of the past on ITV2.
Will we get anyone joining the Love Island Hall Of Fame in the mould of Maura, Davide or of course the returning super villain of last season Adam? The latest batch of contestants have finally been revealed and here at BettingOdds we are on hand to provide a brief run-down of their early odds according to some of the UK's Best Betting SItes...
Obviously the bookmakers are taking stabs in the dark at this stage with their odds for top male and female, with no televised action yet shown and just cringeworthy snippets from social media to go off. Nevertheless, the good folks at Paddy Power have had a go and they have 11/4 favourites in both gender markets.
Beginning with top male, the bloke the bookies like to win is Mitchell Taylor. A 26 year-old gas engineer from Sheffield, he looks sure to be popular with the ladies if his promises to treat his girl like a princess come to fruition. Taylor claims to have 'had his fun' when single and is now ready to 'find the one'. I'm sure we've heard that before a few times on Love Island...
Following Taylor in the odds is 21 year-old business owner from Dudley Andre Furtado. Claiming "I've got every slice of the pie" this fella clearly doesn't lack for confidence, and judging by his language skills and business qualifications he doesn't lack for brains either. The other three lads are priced at 4/1 for glory at this stage, with perhaps the most interesting of the group Tyrique Hyde, a 24 year old semi pro footballer who is best friends with former villa favourite Toby!
Looking now to the top female market and it is a similar story of prohibitive pricing, unsurprisingly with so little information to go off for those poor odds compilers. Just as is the case in top male the favourite is 11/4 and that honour pre-show has been awarded to another Yorkshire native in blonde haired Molly Marsh.
Marsh is an actress so we can take most things she says with a pinch of salt and expect plenty of drama if the last actress in the villa is anything to go by (Ekin-Su we're looking at you)! However, if Marsh is genuine about her old fashioned ways and desire to date a gentleman, perhaps she will be a fans favourite for the opposite reasons Ekin-Su won our hearts and minds. then again, drama free contestants don't tend to last long in the villa.
Glaswegian model Ella Thomas is second favourite and once again mirroring the top male second favourite, she does not seem to lack any self belief. She is quoted as describing herself as the 'whole package'. Ahh what a world it'd be if we all had such high opinions of ourselves.
Somewhat cruelly on their fellow Irishwoman, Paddy Power have made Dubliner Catherine Agbaje their longest odds OG contestant of either gender for glory in the summer 2023 series of Love Island at 5/1, but we can't really see a reason why. Go prove them wrong Catherine.
