Leicester City vs Chelsea Cheat Sheet: Key stats & betting angles

Hallelujah! The international break is officially over and we can get back to the good stuff. We have a full Premier League Gameweek to dive into and first up is a Saturday lunchtime kickoff with a decent looking clash between Leicester City and table toppers Chelsea.
Leicester have had a mediocre start to the season and Brendan Rodgers will be looking to turn that around at the King Power against the inform Blues.
We’ve taken a look at all the latest stats and angles and have compiled our Cheat Sheets for the game which should help find some value.

Leicester City Shots/Goals
Obviously when we talk about Leicester and goals it's impossible to ignore Jamie Vardy. Even in a middling start to the season the veteran striker has scored 7 goals in 25 attempts. However, this is reflected in his odds at the bookies and we see little value in taking him on.
What is noticeable is that Vardy isn't topping the shots charts for City. That honour rests with Youri Tielemans who has taken 26 shots at goal so far this campaign and has eight of those shots on target. With those kind of stats its hard to see why he's so far down in the Anytime Goalscorer market.
At the time of posting you can get odds as high as 43/5 at SBK for the Belgian midfielder to score in 90 minutes. He missed the Belgians' double header over the weekend with a calf injury but should be in contention to play here and if he does we want to be on him.

Chelsea Shots/Goals
With frontman Romelu Lukaku still doubtful through injury, Chelsea have deployed a false number 9 in recent games which has worked pretty well and seen them rise to the top of the Premier League.
Midfielders have thrived in the formation and none more so than Mason Mount who has 3 goals from 15 shots, but crucially 7 of those shots have been on target - the most of any Chelsea player this season. Mount missed both England games due to a infected wisdom tooth but returned to training on Tuesday and looks likely to start. He's 67/20 to score anytime and looks a good bet given his recent hat-trick showing his eye for goal.

Ref Stats
Next we'll take a look at the disciplinary markets and taking charge of this game is Paul Tierney who led the league in yellow cards per game last year(3.9pg) and is dishing them out like candy this season too (3.75pg).

Leicester City Fouls/Cards
Whereas Jamie Vardy was seen as poor value in the Goals markets we see a high upside in the 'To be shown a card' market. Vardy has picked up two yellow cards from only five fouls thus far this season and when he makes a tackle it's quite often a reckless one. Unibet are 11/2 for him to see yellow in this clash and with Tierney in charge it looks fairly likely.

Chelsea Fouls/Cards
Trying to find value in the cards markets is sometimes hard work. However, we think we've spotted stats that should give us a little head start. Chelsea and England left back Ben Chilwell is in a rich vein of form and is now firmly ensconced as their number one above Marcus Alonso, and he should start again here having been rested for the San Marino game.
What is noticeable, however, is his rate of fouls per game. At two fouls per game he is by far the player with the highest infringement rate on the team and is perhaps fortunate not to pick up a card thus far. At odds of 5/1 at Unibet we're loathe to ignore that kind of statistic and will be taking him to be shown a card in the 90 minutes.
If you fancy any of these selections then good luck and please remember to gamble responsibly.
