PFA Player of the Year Odds
The PFA Player of the Year is a coveted award handed to the best men’s player of the season within the circumference of English football.
It’s a well-respected and highly sought-after individual honour, and one that also sparks huge interest from a betting perspective.
A flick through the history book reveals that a catalogue of the greatest players we’ve ever seen on these shores have won the award, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, and Eric Cantona, while recent prize winners include current holder Mo Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, and Virgil van Dijk.
On this page you can browse the latest odds from the best online betting sites regarding who is in contention to be crowned the 2022/23 PFA Player of the Year, you can also scroll through the full list of former winners, and view who is in the mix to get their hands on the PFA Young Player Of The Year accolade.
PFA Player of the Year 2022/23 Contenders
Below we take a look at the main contenders to win the PFA Player of the Year in 2022/23.
Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland is enjoying a spectacular debut season in English football, during which he’s accumulated a staggering amount of goals. The Norwegian superstar, who has smashed the Premier League goalscoring record, is not only eyeing up individual glory - he’s the red-hot bookies’ favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year - but his Man City side could well end the season with the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup trophies in the cabinet.
Martin Odegaard
Arsenal's influential skipper Martin Odegaard is enjoying the season of his career, delighting the Gunners' faithful with his panache, eye for goal, and range of passing. A 100/1 outsider for the award back in August, Odegaard did come into about 12/1 to come out on top, although he's drifted once again. Arsenal have not produced a PFA Player of the Year victor since Robin van Persie in 2012, but if anyone is to have a chance of stealing the spotlight off Haaland it’s Odegaard.
Bukayo Saka
Bukayo Saka has played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s superb season. The winger has hit double-figures for goals and assists, which has seen his season-starting price of 66/1 slashed down to 7/1, although he's drifted out to 33/1 now.
Kevin De Bruyne
You can never say never when it comes to Kevin De Bruyne, a two-time PFA Player of the Year winner who won the award back-to-back in 2020 and 2021. Mo Salah, Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, and Alan Shearer are the only other players to be victorious on multiple occasions in the Premier League era. De Bruyne has pocketed 15 assists so far this term, creating a whopping 75 chances, complete with a pass accuracy of 80%. Unlikely to topple his teammate Erling Haaland, but it’s been another cracking campaign.
Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford has exploded out of the blocks since Christmas, meaning he’s closing in on his best-ever goalscoring season of 17 goals in 2019/20. The Man Utd winger has already lifted the League Cup, has the chance to win the FA Cup, and at the time of writing is leading the race to win the Europa League Golden Boot.
Harry Kane
Tottenham may have endured a somewhat chaotic season yet Harry Kane has been a shining light, scoring a bucketload of goals in the Premier League.
Kieran Trippier
The only defender up for the award, Kieran Trippier has been hugely influential this term for top-four chasing Newcastle. He's helped the club keep numerous clean sheets and has been a key cog in their attacking play too.
