Currently positioned 16th with 12 points from 12 matches, Fulham experienced a 3-1 loss in their recent Premier League clash at Villa Park against Aston Villa. This defeat extended their winless streak to four games (W0 D1 L3). In their previous encounter with wolves during the 2022/2023 season at Craven Cottage, the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.
Wolves earned themselves a 2-1 victory over Tottenham at home in their last Premier League match, putting them in 12th spot on 15 points through 12 matches. The boys from the Black Country are already ten points clear of the relegation zone and have exceeded expectations at this early stage of the campaign.
Taking a look at the match result odds for Fulham vs Wolves and the hosts are the favourites priced at 11/8. The draw is on show at 23/10, while a third away win of the season for Wolves can be backed at 2/1.
Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Tips
Both of my selections on Monday evening can be backed via the bet365 Bet Builder feature, with the first of those being Wolves Double Chance and Mario Lemina to give away at least one foul at 21/20.
I’m impressed with the job that Gary O’Neil has done since being drafted in as Wolves boss at the back end of the summer. The Old Gold have lost just one of their last seven in the top-flight and in that period they have managed an away win at Bournemouth along with home victories over both Manchester City and Tottenham.
Fulham on the other hand have won just one of their last seven in the Premier League, that solitary victory was a narrow 1-0 home victory over Luton. The Cottagers will also be without their best player for this clash as Joao Palhinha misses out due to suspension. All things considered I’m happy to back the visitors to get at least a point.
I’ll be pairing Double Chance Wolves with Mario Lemina to give away Over 0.5 fouls, which takes us up to a very backable 21/20. The midfielder has already collected five cards in the league this season and when it comes to fouls he has given away at least one in all 11 of his appearances.
For my longshot, I’ve decided to back Wolves to win the match and Hwang Hee-Chan to Score at 7/1. I’ve spoken above about how I think Wolves are the stronger side here and if it were not for Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United being so poor, Fulham would be much closer to the drop zone. It’s also worth noting that Wolves have got the better of Fulham of late, unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches (W3 D3 L0).
Wolves have scored in every league match this season with South Korean Hwang Hee-Chan already doubling his tally that he amassed last season. In total, Hwang has six goals this term, scoring in six of the 11 fixtures he’s featured in. I’m surprised he’s as big as 7/2 to score anytime against an unconvincing Fulham side and combining him with Wolves to win the match pays 7/1.
