Deportivo Alaves vs Real Madrid Tips
Jude Bellingham has been fantastic this season and is arguably the best midfielder in Europe. We’re backing him to score anytime in our first bet purely based on his scoring record this season and Madrid’s favourtism in this tie.
Real Madrid come in as the 1/2 favourites here and with the motivation of closing the gap at the top with Girona, they should be right up for this one. Real Madrid have still only lost one game this whole season and on paper, this game against Alaves is a mismatch. The home side have lost their last two games which is double Madrid’s total losses this season.
Considering all this, I fancy Madrid to score a couple of goals here and if they are to do so, it’s hard to not back their leading goalscorer Jude Bellingham. The midfielder has 17 goals in all competitions for Madrid so far and to see him at 2/1 to score anytime is quite shocking.
With Madrid scoring 11 goals in their last five games, I think we could be looking at Bellingham getting on the scoresheet here.
Whilst I still expect Madrid to win this one, they have still been conceding fairly regularly on the road with both teams scoring in six of their last seven games. For our second bet we’re siding with both teams to have at least two shots on target in each half.
In their recent away games, Real Madrid’s shots on target conceded stats are 5,6,4, meaning this bet on average is landing in their last three away trips. I do not doubt that Madrid will get two shots on target themselves in each half with the quality of their players and their willingness to have a crack at goal e.g. Bellingham, Joselu, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.
I think this looks a big price at 5/1 considering it has landed on several occasions this season. Given that Alaves are at home they should have a better chance of testing this Real Madrid side and it doesn't seem like much to ask for from a team at their own stadium. Real Madrid come in as big favourites and are expected to win this one so I wouldn't be too worried about the shots on target on their behalf.
