The defending champions have fallen quite substantially this season, drawing almost a third of their league matches after 18 outings and sitting seven points behind both surprise package Girona and leaders Real Madrid.
On the other hand, newly-promoted Las Palmas continue to climb Spain's premier division, eyeing up a place as high as 7th if the right circumstances occur on Thursday night.
Las Palmas vs Barcelona Tips
Having lost two games and drawn one since the beginning of December, we aren't willing to hang our hat on an out of sorts Barcelona side claiming all three points away from home. We do, however, like the look of both the visitors and Las Palmas finding the net at 5/6.
Barca are on a run of five games where this bet has landed, including their most recent 3-2 friendly loss to Club America. Only two of their eight away matches in La Liga have failed to produce goals for both sides, with one of those trips coming at the beginning of the season in August, meaning six of their last seven have been successful in this area.
The hosts have seen both teams notch in three of their last six home matches and possess a 50% strike rate for this bet across the season at the Gran Canaria Stadium. Las Palmas have only failed to net once during the last six matches on home soil, putting two past Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid side who fell to a 2-1 defeat at this venue in November.
For our larger priced play we're taking on two Barcelona players to hit the target, choosing Ilkay Gunodgan and Joao Cancelo as our candidates. Gundo has struck the fifth-highest shots tally for Barca in La Liga this term with 21 efforts, testing the goalkeeper with seven of those, including three in the 4-2 defeat to Girona in December.
Marauding full-back Cancelo has had a shot on target in six league matches, managing one in two of his last three outings. The former Man City pair should get opportunities for a Barcelona side who are expected to dictate proceedings in the Canary Islands and 3/1 could prove to be a good price for this duo to register a shot on target each on Thursday.
