The course is one of the more scenic tracks in the UK and its course is known to be of the fastest and safest for greyhounds.
The course is owned and operated by the Gala Coral Group and it has a capacity for 2,200 spectators with free parking available. As well as a photo finish and Totalisator the course also boasts a children's playground and also a Health and Leisure Club.
The course was the location when Ballyregan Bob who was based at the stadium broke the world record for consecutive wins with his 32nd victory on 9th December 1985.
The track at Brighton uses the outside Swaffham hare and the track circumference is 455 metres. The first bend comes in at 105 metres on 4 bend races and 50 metres on 6 bend races. Distances raced here are 285, 475, 515, 695 ,740, 930 and 970 metres.

Brighton Dogs hosts race meeting every Thursday and Saturday evening (doors open 6.30pm), Wednesday afternoon (doors open at 1pm) and Friday and Sunday lunchtime (doors open at 10.30am on Friday and 11am on Sunday).
