Scotland and Hungary will face off in their final group game at Euro 2024 on Sunday with a win for either side potentially opening the door to the last-16 of the tournament.
Bookmakers are struggling to split the pair heading into this Group A clash with Hungary being the narrow favourites with most betting sites, priced at 6/4 to get the win. The draw is on show 5/2, while Scotland are slightly longer than their opponents in the market at 13/8, implying a 38% chance of victory.

Scotland vs Hungary Head-To-Head Statistics
Scotland and Hungary have played against each other in a competitive international although they have met on nine occasions in friendlies. The most recent of those came back in March 2018 when the Scots managed a 1-0 win thanks to a Matt Phillips goal in a game that surprisingly produced six yellow cards - a high figure for a friendly.

Match Preview: Scotland vs Hungary
After their 5-1 defeat in the tournament curtain-raiser to Germany, Steve Clarke will have been pleased with his side's much improved showing against Switzerland on Wednesday. The Scots managed a 1-1 draw thanks to Scott McTominay’s goal, and they now have a chance to claim their first European Championship win since Euro 1996 when Ally McCoist scored the only goal of the game at Villa Park against Switzerland. Scotland will however be without one of their key players for the clash with Hungary after Kieran Tierney’s injury that he sustained in their second game of the tournament.
Hungary were tipped by a few pundits as potential dark horses for Euro 2024 but suffered a 3-1 victory in their opener which was then followed by a 2-0 defeat to Germany on Wednesday. The Magyars still have hopes of making it out of Group A, but with only one goal scored so far, they know they must collect all three points to stand any chance of doing so.
The Best Betting Markets for Scotland vs Hungary
This looks a tough game to predict in terms of the match result. The betting market we have been drawn to is the anytime goalscorer, where I have taken a lean towards Scott McTominay. The Scot is much more of an attacking threat of his country than when playing at club level and has now scored seven goals in his last 10 competitive internationals. At 3/1 I like his chances of finding the net against a Hungary side that have conceded five goals across their last two matches.
