Unai Emery
Unai Emery
Unai Emery has left Villarreal to join Premier League side Aston Villa commencing his role on November 1, 2022.
Emery was previously chosen as the manager to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal in the summer of 2018, a position he held until his departure in November 2019.
The boss is famed for his man management, intensity, and meticulous preparation, which have in turn taken him far in the managerial arena.
Emery started life out at Lorca Deportiva in 2004, moving to Almeria in 2006, before earning a big move to Valencia two years later. Under financial restrictions, Emery, in his second season, led Los Che back into the Champions League after registering a 3rd-place finish - a standing he repeated in the following two campaigns.
A brief and unsuccessful spell in Russia, with Spartak Moscow, followed, only to return to Spain in early 2013 with Sevilla. Emery enjoyed great success with the club, leading them to a hat-trick of Europa League crowns, before moving to Paris in June 2016 where he won a league title, and six domestic cups.
