Wimbledon Semi-Final Tips: 13/1 double for Friday at Wimbledon

Friday at Wimbledon has the best of the best in action on the men’s circuit where we have Alcaraz and Djokovic both in action in their semi-final matches. We’ll take a look at the betting market for the day, pick out our best bets and combine them into an accumulator!
Wimbledon Semi-Final Tips
Jannik Sinner to win
Yes, you’ve read that correctly. I’ll be siding with Djokovic to lose at Wimbledon. Crazy I know, but hear me out. Djokovic is obviously unbelievable, but what I’m seeing from Sinner at the moment is crazy good.
The Italian has only dropped two sets this whole tournament (as has Djokovic) and has looked rock solid in all areas of his game. His serve has been on point, his return games have been brilliant and he looks in great shape which is a huge plus considering his past injury records.
Last year at Wimbledon, Sinner went 2-0 up against Djokovic and was in pole position to beat the Serb. Unfortunately, the occasion got to Sinner and when Djokovic refused to give up, Sinner was out of options. Sinner looks to have matured a lot since last year and is only going to improve as time goes on in his very young career.
Sinner has shown time and time again that the grass surface is one that he can thrive on and with the pace of the game on this surface being so fast, he can really show his athleticism and raw power. Of course Djokovic is unbelievable at Wimbledon but 4/1 looks way too big for Sinner and if last year is anything to go off, this is going to be a very close one.
Medvedev to win
It’s a day for the underdogs for us as we’re siding with Daniil Medvedev to beat Alcaraz. These two have only played each other twice in their careers and it’s one win a piece for each of them in the h2h. Medvedev’s win actually came at Wimbledon in 2021 and was in straight sets for the Russian.
Medvedev has always been a player that should thrive with the pace of the grass surface but hasn’t always shown his best tennis during this part of the tour. This year seems to be a lot different and Medvedev has looked incredible at Wimbledon so far with the only real scare he had being against Eubanks who was on a miracle run at SW19.
Alcaraz of course has also looked stunning but we all know grass is by far his worst surface. Now even on his worst surface he’s still one of the best players in the world but I worry that Medvedev’s serve and physicality is going to be too much for the young Spaniard.
This game seems more 50/50 to me considering the performances so far, I don’t think the odds accurately reflect Medvedev’s chances in this one and this is more a case of rankings bias in the betting. Medvedev is more than capable of causing an upset. Even saying that sounds weird as he should not be that big of an underdog.
We’ll be taking Medvedev at 11/5 and doubling that up with Sinner to beat Djokovic which gives us a 13/1 double with Bet365!
