Wimbledon, often referred to as The Championships, is one of the most prestigious and iconic tennis tournaments in the world. It is held annually in late June and early July at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, England. Established in 1877, Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament and is considered one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, alongside the Australian Open, French Open, and US Open.
Wimbledon is one of the most unique Grand Slam tournaments in the world, with the court being played on grass courts. The grass surface offers a fast and low-bounce playing style. It's a surface that suits certain players perfectly.
Mens Wimbledon Tips
Sebastian Korda, the 22-year-old American, hails from a family with a rich tennis pedigree. His father, Petr Korda, was a former Australian Open champion, and his sisters, Jessica and Nelly, have excelled in the world of professional golf. Following in their footsteps, Sebastian has shown immense promise and has been steadily climbing up the rankings, impressing both on hard courts and clay.
I do really like Sebastian Korda's game on the grass. We saw early signs of his potential back in 2021, where he reached the quarter finals in Halle beating Bautista-Agut and Nishikori, and then reaching the R16 of Wimbledon beating De Minaur and Evans, while losing out to Khachanov in five sets (losing 10-8 in the final set). We've seen a glimpse of his potential again on the grass this year, where he beat Evans, Tiafoe and Norrie in straight sets at Queens before losing to Alcaraz.
As the Wimbledon Championships unfold, keep an eye out for Sebastian Korda. With that being said, on the Betfair exchange market we're currently seeing 53/1 odds. This is a great price, and well worth grabbing.
Bublik, a 24-year-old Kazakhstani player known for his flashy shot-making and unconventional style, has improved a lot this year in his game style and maturity. With his tall frame, powerful serves, and an ability to execute unorthodox shots with finesse, Bublik brings an exciting and unpredictable element to his matches. His unorthodox shot selection, including underarm serves and drop shots from unexpected angles, can catch opponents off guard and disrupt their rhythm.
While Bublik's overall career record may not boast the same achievements as the top-ranked players, his recent performances suggest he is ready to step up and challenge the established order. With a strong showing on grass leading up to Wimbledon, winning his first ATP title of the year and his second in his career just last week. Bublik put in really impressive performances, beating Coric, Struff, Sinner, Zverev and Rublev to clinch the title. I’m glad he pulled out of the event just before Wimbledon, as this allows him some extra rest before the Grand Slam.
We’re seeing odds at 120/1, which for a player that is playing at the top of his game and with bookies realising this too, the odds look very generous.
