Wimbledon Day 6 Betting Tips: Best bets from the All England Club
It's Day 6 at Wimbledon on Saturday with a mixed forecast predicted. Find our man Max Saakyan's best bets below.
We’re coming to the closing stage of Wimbledon, and it’s been a pretty fun week so far. We've seen plenty of upsets, with the most notable one on the women's side happening the other day where Natalija Stevanovic beat world number 19 Karolina Pliskova.
Wimbledon Day 6 Tips
The first match up I want to look at is between two Russians, Anastasia Potapova against Mirra Andreeva. Both players have had an excellent season so far. Anastasia Potapova won her second career WTA title this year, winning at Linz where she won three of the matches as an underdog.
Other notable performances have come against Qinwen Zheng, Coco Gauff and Carolina Garcia. She's enjoyed the grass so far this season, where she reached the semi finals in Birmingham and has come through the first two rounds of Wimbledon, winning both matches in straight sets.
Mirra Andreeva is destined for greatness, at just 16 years old she's won six lower level titles, and has stormed through Wimbledon winning five matches in a row. I do think Anastasia Potapova might be a bit too strong for the youngster, and I have her as a larger favourite.
On the men's side, we have the talented Frances Tiafoe against Grigor Dimitrov. The American has finally broken inside the top-10, after winning in Stuttgart this season securing his second ATP title of the year.
Frances Tiafoe has looked impressive at Wimbledon, winning both matches in straight sets 3-0. Grigor Dimitrov has followed a similar route, where he's won the first two matches in straight sets as well. I like the over line here, with both players really enjoying holding their service games. It should be a tight match!
