Wales vs. South Korea Betting Tips: Two bets for friendly fixture
Wales warm-up for next week's Euro 2024 qualifier against Latvia with a friendly fixture at home to South Korea, who have hat-trick hero Son Heung-min in fine fettle.
The countries will lock horns at the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday, which can be viewed live on S4C at 7.45pm.
Wales head into the match with just one win to their name from their last 12 matches, eight of which have ended in defeat; something that's become all too familiar for this side.
Wales have four points from four games in qualifying Group D meaning they will be after a morale-boosting win ahead of Monday's trip to Latvia.
Rob Page's troops will look to get the better of a South Korean side enduring their own run of poor form; they've failed to win any of their last five matches which includes a defeat to Peru and a 1-1 draw against El Salvador.
Manager Jurgen Klinsmann is still searching for his first win since his February appointment and will be viewing the trip to Wales as an ideal opportunity to secure the country's triumph of 2023.
South Korea are priced at 9/5 to claim the spoils, Wales are available at 33/20 to claim only their second win in 13 matches, while a draw can be backed at 23/10.
Wales vs South Korea Tips
Since June 2022, Wales have carved out only one win, a narrow 1-0 victory at home to minnows Latvia.
During this bleak streak, the fireless Dragons have been defeated eight times in 12 matches, which includes a heavy 4-2 defeat at home to Armenia a few months ago; a result that pilled the pressure on under-fire boss Rob Page.
Fortunately for Wales, they now face a South Korea side also struggling to make a statement under their own manager Klinsmann who is so far winless from four matches (D2 L2).
With that said, it's difficult to make a case for either country to end their respective rotten runs with a rare win, making the draw stand-out at 23/10 with bet365.
It's a bet that has landed in each of Wales' last three friendly fixtures against the Czech Republic, Finland, and Albania, while two of South Korea's last four non-competitive matches have ended all square.
Wales can no longer call on the services of Gareth Bale, however, South Korea have the Welshman's former Spurs teammate Son Heung-min leading the line and fresh off his superb hat-trick in Tottenham's 5-2 defeat of Burnley.
Now captain of both club and country, the 31-year-old has 10 goals in his last 18 starts for South Korea, including a brace in March's 2-2 draw against Colombia.
Son will be brimming with confidence following his pulsating performance last weekend and now looks a great price at 9/4 with William Hill to find the back of the net in Cardiff on Thursday.
