US Open 2023: Everything you need to know about the final Slam of the season

With Wimbledon over we shift our focus to the last slam of 2023, the US Open.
Here at BettingOdds.com, we've taken a look at a number of burning questions about this year's US Open as well as who is in the mix to win the final slam of the year.
When is the US Open 2023?
The US Open Tennis Championships is going to be held on August 28th – September 10th 2023.
Which TV Channel is the US Open 2023 on?
The US Open 2023 is expected to be shown live on Amazon Prime and EuroSport for people in the UK. Elsewhere in the world ESPN and ESPN2 will be covering the Grand Slam.
Where is the US Open 2023?
The US Open will be held in New York. The Arthur Ashe Stadium and the Louis Armstrong Stadium will be hosting the biggest matches of the tournament similar to Center Court and court 1 at Wimbledon.
Who is the men's favourite to win the US Open 2023?
Novak Djokovic comes in as the betting favourite for this one despite missing out on the last Grand Slam. The Serb was on course for the calendar slam having already won the Australian Open and the French Open prior this year but missed out on another Wimbledon title after suffering defeat to Carlos Alcaraz in an epic final. The betting sites have Djokovic as the 7/5 favourite for the US Open later this year.
Carlos Alcaraz is the second favourite and is the current defending champion of the US Open. The difference in price between him and Djokovic is very minimal with Djokovic at 7/5 and Alcaraz at 8/5.
Alcaraz is a phenomenal talent and has proved that he can play on all surfaces in the ATP Tour and with two Grand Slams already in his resume, he’ll be looking to add a third at the young age of 20-years-old.
Next in the betting is another former winner in Daniil Medvedev who is at 5/1 in the market. Medvedev has racked up a few trophies in 2023 but he’ll be disappointed to have not won a Grand Slam yet. The US Open is a place he has had success in the past where he beat Djokovic in the final in straight sets.
Who is the women's favourite to win the US Open 2023?
World number one Iga Swiatek is the favourite for the US Open. She is also the defending champ having won the title in 2022, she defeated Ons Jabeur in straight sets in the final and comes into this one as the 5/2 favourite. She unfortunately didn’t make it past the quarter-finals at Wimbledon but despite that the betting sites fancy her chances.
Next in the betting is Aryna Sabalenka at 9/2. Sabalenka has already won a hard court title this year after winning the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open. Sabalenka also made it to the semi-final of the French Open and the semi-final of Wimbledon. She’s been very consistent in slams these days and could be a great bet.
Elena Rybakina is next in the betting at 6/1. Rybakina has turned into one of the best players on the ATP tour and has now reached her career ranking of third in the world. Rybakina has never had much success at the US Open with her best finish being the 3rd round in 2021 but has reached the final of the other hard court tournament this year.
What is the US Open prize money for 2023?
The winner for both the men’s and the women’s is expected to get $3,800,000 with the runner-up receiving $1,900,000
